Regrets?

Regrets?
Has anyone that has bought a ZR1 had any regrets? Would you do it all over again in a heart beat or not? What if any challenges does the car present or does it exceed all your expectations?. Looking for experienced owners to give their honest opinion. I ask because I am still a week or so away from delivery; all feedback appreciated.

Go big or go home. Going through the climbing esses at the glen at 135 mph and I’ll take the big wing thanks.

Might want to try the ZR1 subsection. However, I'm not sure how the pinnacle C7 can disappoint any Corvette enthusiast. Good luck and congrats

They are becoming quite the rare collectible item. I've seen them in the $150k++
There is one for sale here on the forum for $189k with 300 miles on the clock.
They are gorgeous cars though....

There were some other cars I considered. But I’ve been a Corvette fan for like 30 years now. I had the money to get the top dog. It was the last of its kind. So in the end, it was the only car to consider. Though not going for the last of the Vipers (also last of its kind), maybe even an ACR, is a teensie weensie regret. Seeing as how much the ACRs are selling for now. But I’m not planning on ever selling the ZR1, so really it doesn’t matter what its resale value is.
I suppose if I truly had any regrets, since I intend it to be a forever car, is not getting exactly the ZR1 I wanted. The spec I got is pretty close. But I really wanted a silver one. My dad had a custom painted silver 1990 ZR-1. So I wanted to get silver as an homage to him. Plus I think the silver contrasts great with all the exposed carbon parts.
I know everyone goes gaga over the manual transmission, but going with the A8 is one thing I don’t regret. It’s just faster. Was just at Laguna Seca this past week. The car is so fast and feeling like it wants to break traction at any moment, I just would rather not have to take a hand off the wheel to make a shift going up the Rahal straight. Then worrying about dropping gears while hauling in that speed to bomb down the corkscrew.

The ZR1 is the fastest Corvette ever produced by GM . Only negative thing to me and this is my opinion is the BIG *** WING! It is functional on the track but obnoxious to drive on the street. I guess I am old school. This picture would be my perfect ZR1!

The big wing really makes the back match the front in terms of how aggressive the car looks. And I’d love to have the extra downforce at the track (though not for straight line events). But it is a bit ridiculous for street use. I’m pretty tall, but I’d rather not have to lift a suitcase high up over a $6k piece to load the trunk, or have to do some levitation bit of feeding it in through the side. So yeah, low wing for me…

I am curious. Why did you replace the stock, integrated wing with that wing?

I don’t daily my ZR1. But I drive it once or twice a week for pretty much the same stuff I’d take my other car to. I don’t need to “go big or go home” when going to Lowe’s, the supermarket, the gym, commuting to work, or going out to dinner with the wife.

I'm not a fan of big wings for the street, useless HP for the Street, and an unsual looking front end for the street.
However, if its for the track- anything that makes it go faster is ok?
Have fun be safe
