cannot report it stolen because it is technically titled in her name still (from what I picked up on). That is the only reason they aren't truly getting the car and making a hassle about it, she is also 70 years old. Everything can be reversed, but title transfers or anything involving the state. I shouldn't say it cannot be, but it is extremely frowned upon, difficult, and gives a bad reputation to the dealership and also the sales staff involved. That is why they say, "don't count the sale till the tires hit the curb." This isn't a joke, do not get all excited on a sale till the customer as left the dealership. Once they leave, there is usually no going back, unless the sales staff screwed up.

Was this a divorce sale? Sometimes I see that **** on craigslist. Angry scorned woman who got all the husbands toys selling at a firesale.
I used to watch SS717 a lot then just stopped watching. Hoping he does other builds besides vettea and trucks. That black zr1 is sick AF tho

I hope you can sue her or something for all the time and money that was wasted. I'm from Birmingham,AL also and anybody here would have told you to get that car.

Hope you guys get something figured out, whether it’s with this classless wench or a different car. For us ZR1 owners and fans, it would be nice to see one back on the channel...especially properly modded

Oh, I forgot to mention that as an aspiring whisperer, I’ve been contemplating changing my last name to Beaver. So far, the wife hasn’t been receptive to the idea...

Sure you heard, but country chevy has one in warrenton va ...but red calipers and might be missing comp seat.... but it is a manual, at a dealer, with ztk and a lot closer. I'm an hour out.... Let me know if I can help.

Just curious why put the dealership in the middle? Couldn't Mike just buy it?? This is where it get's fuzzy. Does Mike then ever own it or does the dealer make it some kind of "demo" car to Mike? I'm not sure he really owns some the cars on his channel.

Bummer she backed out, what a PITA.

In the video he states why he prefers buying cars from the dealership. The extra security is what he is after.

Giant crap sandwich is the best way I can describe the situation...such a bummer. I live about 5 miles from your dealership, Matt. You guys push some seriously awesome Vettes. You deserve to have this sorted out in your (and Mike's) favor. I am optimistically looking forward to hearing the results of what you're working on...Best of luck! When I decide to get out of the C5 game for a newer/better Vette, your my dude.

Matt finds amazing deal on a ZR1 in CF classifieds with 42 miles and 10k below MSRP.
Sets up deal for SS717. Dealer acting as middleman and ordering 2019 Z06 for MeeMaw as replacement.
SS717 makes arrangements to pickup car. Dealer pays off car and finishes paperwork.
MeeMaw backs out after it's really too late - says she can't part ways with the car.
SS717 makes video.

The forum should remove her ability to post in the 'for sale' sections, if they can.

The guy wanted to buy a ZR1 and the seller backed out of the sale at the last minute. This kind of stuff never happens. It's shocking.

Someone probably offered her more than what she was asking after committing to the Beaver.

There’s a bit more to it.

She he backed out after the buyer spent $1000+ on everything to make it happen. And she had a dealer order her a $100k+ car that they are now in the hook to sell right as the C7 market will likely turn soft due to the C8 reveal. There was a lot of time and money wasted dealing with her.

Its one thing to back out of a deal where no party loses anything. But this deal was way beyond that point.
