That car will never pick up 16+ mph with out more work done(different motor, blower, glide, N2O, gears, converter etc.)

NEVER
Dude, stop embarrassing yourself....the car has already trapped almost 159 MPH (158.59 mph to be exact)…..do the "simple math"....take off the rear wing and front aero and the car will pick up a minimum of 5 to 6 MPH putting it at mid 160's.....run it with near zero or minus DA instead of 2000 like it was that day and you'll add another 3 or 4 MPH thus in the 168-169 range "pushing 170 MPH" as I stated....why is this so difficult for you? I'm not trying to be a d@ckhead about this but it's VERY easy to do the math!

So your "simple" math allows you to guess at "5 or 6 mph" and " another "3 or 4 mph" ? Ok

Don't get me wrong, the 2011 Kong ZR1 is an absolute beast but comparatively speaking, when AMP gets this ZR1 dialed in and decent DA it will be a mid to low 8 sec car pushing near 170 mph's without nitrous on the factory SBE AND while weighing in hundreds of pounds more than the C6ZR1!
Ok - apples to apples - bigger blower, gearing and advantage of the A8 - shall we keep comparing our apples? Lol

The slips above and in the video show 154 and 155. I guess you have the 160 in your back pocket, so I missed that simple math. Post it please.

Show me 17X.XXX anything and I will be surely embarrassed. (Assuming you don't spray the car)

Now run along...Dude...

Thanks for the laugh tonight

If you don't understand the fundamentals of aerodynamics or Density Altitude shame on you for considering yourself a Drag Racer!

I like the simple comparisons....stock OEM offering vs stock OEM offering, not mega dollar forged build vs factory stock bottom end...the bigger blower is just part of the OEM offering along with the gears and tranny

When I say "pushing 170mph" to me running 168-169mph is "pushing 170" vs "running 170+" which is 170 & over...we may just not see the phraseology the same, peace!

I guess your with the group one way or another. Don’t get me wrong, they are flying. That 159 slip Is amazing.

I just think 155 to 170 is a lot different then, say even 115 to 130. You are correct, it’s not 15 mph more, now 10. I never saw that slip. Hopefully I’m wrong and totally embarrassed, I just can’t see getting 170 from the wing and DA.

Well, let’s see!

Good Luck!!!

The car has only been to the track once.....now that they have collected data, have the opportunity to analyze it, they will then make adjustments & tweaks and go back out. It will be a while before they see good DA again, likely Fall, Winter or Spring but I'm fully confident in their ability to blow us all away when they have the right opportunity......case in point....just look at the Stock ZR1 Fast List, all the guys running at near zero or minus DA are averaging around 4 MPH more than the others! This free DA opportunity alone get's them low/mid 160's still with Factory Aero!!!! And don't forget.....this frickin car does have 1100+ RWHP, an absolutely mind-boggling achievement on an SBE with no nitrous!!! I just hope the tranny, rear & axles hold up.

No - I'm a dummy. LOL

Have you passed math ?? 2+3 = 5 NOT 5 or 6. Yes, simple as you said right?? Stop guessing

Like I said below, good for them, now stop creaming your pants and make YOURS fast for all the excitement you have locked inside you. Have a nice day

very impressive performance. I'm even more impressed that the stock auto could handle 1100 plus.

Given the amount of "stock parts retained" makes this even more of an eye poper

good job!

Congrats to Sam and the crew! I’m most impressed it cut a 1.2 with stock converter and on 18s!

I know it isn’t meant to be a drag car, but some skinnies and the 15’s will definitely drop ET and pick up MPH.
