The Super Trofeo belongs to my friends 15 year old son. They were there testing this and the new AMG-GT3 that was delivered to COTA. I wish I could have made it.

Yes 15, but he is a serious racer with sponsorship. He is not a DE or time trial guy. He was there in the semi private run group to test the new AMG-GT3 to be ready for the Pirelli World Challenge race at COTA early next year.

I had a chance to the young man and Shane Seneviratne with US Race Tronics who was there providing support for the ST, both very nice. BTW, This particular ST is for sale at $155K. Shane said the kid also has the new Super Trofeo Evo. I hopped in to this one in hopes I would fit (250lb), the foot-well pocket would not accommodate my size 13 feet, really bummed me, I have been considering ST for awhile. I asked Shane if a Sawzall would solve my problem, he just looked at me funny.

I’ve had mine out there once already but was out of town for the “Christmas at COTA” event sadly. I know some of the guys in that private run group and they are all awesome people. Many have done A LOT to help me as a novice track driver. Can’t wait to tear it up out there in 2019!

Adam, have you ever wrote reviews or comparisons about all these cool cars you get to drive? I have driven my 15 z06 for 3 seasons now and have never driven anything else on a track. Would love to hear how all of these cars compare to the z06.

GT-X is the deep end of the pool straight away. Lone Star car was in the 2:07's during a race last year with a 2:05 quali time as I remember it. I recall Skeen was excited to drive that car.
My friend's Son won the 911 GT Cup race there in 2015 and believe went on to win the championship as well. He tried his hand at the GT Class with McLaren the following year and it was challenging at times for him to find competitive race pace.
Hopefully this young man has the funding necessary and is given the time it takes for him to find proper pace.

SilveradoSS was gracious enough to let me take a few laps in his ZR1. Felt great with the short shifter doing no lift 4-5 shifts on the back straight. Car still moves around a fair bit, more than I'd like in a track car, and really not that much firmer than my non ZTK that I had out here this summer. Limiting factor is not having harnesses.
What a blast though....thoroughly enjoyed the experience!

Shane is the nicest guy, team leader, owner of US Race Tronics and is an amazing spotter and communicator. When you are on the other end of the radio he sounds very calming while you drive. Yes, please buy the ST, my buddy would be happy to see it go since they have the EVO and AMG.
Steven is very fast at a young age and his co-driver Richard Antinucci is very fast also. We can't wait for 2019 season. I have watched Steven grow since he was 8 years old. His father is an amazing father and amazing friend.

It's called Class, I believe! ;)
This is so true,
I fell compelled to mention, even though there is a bit of wealth displayed by the very nature of the cars, everyone is extremely nice, helpful, and easygoing, you wont see ones putting on airs of entitlement. We all get along superbly, all are extremity advanced drivers, hence we don't have any drama on or off the track, very very refreshing group to be with.
