I just bought a cooler bleeder
There was No one in the area to meet up with, so I decided to buy my own. Cant wait to try it out. Should I expect more power? Less Knock? My HP tuner scan showed some.

I just purchased one also. I plan to change the fluid and then run the system to purge the air.
I also plan to change the engine coolant and will add Water Wetter to both.

My Cooler Bleeder and Pump and came in two weeks ago. I spent an evening setting up and running the unit, for me 30 minutes did not pull out all the air. I probably spent two hours and the end result is all the air now appears to be out of the system.

You have to make sure you put the cooler bleeder bucket high above the blower, at least a foot or so. I usually get it about 18 inches above the blower so that the coolant line doesn't have any areas where it "dips" a little. This can cause the air to not make it to the bucket. It's also important to do the final step where you shut the one valve. I can fully bleed a car in about 15 minutes with the cooler bleeder.

I bought the Cooler Bleeder couple of weeks ago, worked great, about 30 minutes on my Z06 to remove all the air & about 20 minutes each side on my ZR1, worked great for me. Jarred with Cooler Bleeder will tell you the Z06 is a bear to get fully bled, it can sometimes be hateful to get it done.

I assume the ZR1 is easier to bleed compared to the Z06
Thanks

My ZR1 did have air in each side, but not as bad as my Z06, still about 15 to 20 min. per side. Keep in mind there is no expansion tank to look at to see if it is full, when you see no more air in the line it is as full as it can get. Also keep in mind that there is a separate pump for each side of the ZR1. Follow the Cooler Bleeder info about which fuse is which as the fuse box is not labeled as intercooler fuse, but Jareds's info is correct.

I was bleeding the system this morning, I cant believe how much air is still coming out.
Before the cooler bleeder
After the cooler bleeder
There is still some air around the turn on back side of tank, I'll work on it more this weekend. Yes his system works and seems the car responds much better when it warmed up going down the straights.
To be honest I wanted to Mod the car, but the way it is now maybe not so much, the car should of came this way from the factory.

^^ You wont gain anything trying to get that last bit of air out. You do need a small amount of air in the system for expansion. Water expands when heated so it needs a little air to compress so that the pressure doesn't get too high.

ok Well that explains it because, the quarter size air bubble wont go away even over 30 in vacuum for 10-15 minutes. Air just keeps coming out to no end.

I just used my Cooler Bleeder today. Bubble didn't go away until the very end when I turned off the vacuum pump and opened the valve and the onboard pump cycled...Then the coolant rushed back in and the air pocket totally disappeared. Any one else have it not go away until the very end? Also, what side of the car is the drain on when I get ready to drain the whole system...Drivers side or passenger side?

My valve was a lil loose so I tightened it. I also squeezed the hose lines on driver side and had it on max vacuum (over 30inch vacuum) for like 20 min, then recycle it. Then I drove the car to let everything recycle and get hot, when I came back to check the tank, I could see no bubble at all.

I believe the drain is on the passenger side in front of the wheel. You can stick your hand through the hole, turn the valve counter clock wise and the fluid should come out, someone correct me if Im wrong?

UPDATE: You were absolutely correct...I could get in there with my hand and drain it without removing the wheel or the wheel well liner...Thanks again for the advice!
