C7z06 prices are sky rocketing!
Spoiler
I thought this was worthy of a mention in its own thread. Looks like the the c7z's especially m7's will be commanding ultra high prices.

Crazy, not even a Z07 package either. Definitely an outlier sale price but coming from a someone with the same car but with Z07 it's certainly nice to see.

I was there, looked the car over ahead of the auction, and watched it go. It's a beautiful car in near-showroom condition, but not worth what was paid for it. It's a 3LZ and Carbon Fiber version of my 2LZ Catbon Flash Z, with an original MSRP of "only" $110K.
Having attended Barrett-Jackson auctions for years, it's all about timing (and alcohol). Bidders and their guests are treated to 10 drinks/day, included with their Bidders' credentials. High rollers are there in the highest numbers Thursday thru Saturday. Ideal times to cross the block are, therefore, Firday and Saturday evening. This car crossed at a good time on an ideal day, though similar bidding occurred much Thursday evening, Friday, and Saturday - peak periods for alcohol-fueled stupidity.
Eight 2019 ZR1s also crossed the block. Their hammer prices ranged from a low of $137K (Lot 803) to a high of $201K (Lot 1289). Notably, the lowest price specimen was an A8 that sold on Thursday, while the three highest priced specimens were M7s and sold on Friday and Saturday.

Several other C7 Z06's sold for more realistic prices, some with Z07 package. Most of the ZR1s (there were quite a few) sold for less than they have been going, and the more modified, the lower they sold for. C8 Z06's were relatively solid in pricing, but no longer fetch big premiums.

If your new to C7 game and you found that you did not like the C8 at all.. what can you do if you want a clean C7 now? You may have to pay a little more for a great example now... a car is only worth what someone willing to pay for it. I'd love a clean C2, but they don't make them anymore.. if I want a clean one the way I want.. I'd have to pay a bit of money for that too.. just the way it is
