Wondering if @mark rolnick ever got his car back, or if it's on track for an Easter return?

Yeah, but he was hoping for a Christmas miracle from the shop, I think...

Maybe Easter now, or Memorial Day weekend?

^damn right

I was wondering about that pile as well. He probably hasn't gotten around to calling the shop yet. Figured we'd be seeing a Z06 up for sale with no engine or front suspension soon.

I wanted to get the full back story and tried to find it in that lengthy thread, but also didn’t want to read the entire thread lol.

I think the gist of it may have been that the owner shared part of the blame, but didn’t admit to it?

The car obviously was real. I bet most of the story was real although tilted towards the owner's side. Maybe he made a side deal direct with the mechanic that the dealership didn't know about. Once the dealership found out, they wanted full price - which wasn't 'his' deal. That could explain why he never spoke with anyone at the dealership but the mechanic and then had to write a big check just to get it in the bay. Just a theory as I have no personal knowledge of the situation. But it was an interesting read.

yeah at the end when he said he couldn't follow up with the dealer (while going on three years there) because he got a new tv was when I could barely cling to the belief that he wasn't just messing with us and he
had no intention of getting that thing fixed

Good to hear.
Do you know if the car moved into the shop as the owner stated.
Any info on progress.
