Soler Throttle Controller in M7?
I have a 2018 Z06/07 with the manual 7. I’ve read through the forum and it sounds like installing the Soler Throttle Controller in a manual is not worth it? Does anyone with a manual have a throttle controller and love it?
Also, the cars throttle progression and active fuel management changes with different car modes. Does the Soler Throttle control negate these changes, or make them better?
Im interested in buying one, but i want to know what I’m getting into before i do.
thanks everyone!

I have it on my Stingray and Z06 both manual. The difference is more pronounced on the Stingray (I also have the throttle body) which to me totally transforms the car down low. The Z06 is still worth it but not as big of a difference.
Try it out and just resell it on here if you don’t like it or find one used. Easy install
Just saw you’re in ATL. Feel free to come drive my car if you want to see the difference. I also have the DSC controller installed

Thanks @thepanther. The DSC controller is on my list. Everything I’ve read says it’s amazing. The Soler is not that expensive, so i think I’ll take you up on your advice. Buy it, and if it’s not worth it, sell it.
Does changing the car drive modes i.e. touring, sport, track - change the throttle progression with the Soler Throttle Controller installed? Or does the Soler cancel that out?

Have the Soler Performance Throttle Controller in my 2015 C7 Z06/Z07 M7 and it is worth it. Note that there is a Manual Transmission option to set in the settings menu of the Soler Performance app.

I have a a 2017 Z06 M7 and run both the soler TB and throttle controller. The TB removes that off idle stumble and the controller allows you the to adjust the throttle input to your liking. I didn’t feel the throttle was very linear and this allows me to correct that. Both were great mods imo.

for my 16' Z a soler ported stock size TB, controller, mgw shiter and a 19' gas pedal all assisted my down low driving performance and feel. Currently I had to remove the controller because I put a tune on it and need to drive it some then datalog to send to them soon.
guess what I started stalling the car some in very light throttle conditions.....

Soler TB and Controller is how these cars should have been delivered from GM, regardless of transmission. FWIW, I'm happy with both (and a DSC Sport Controller and MGW shifter) in my M7 '19 Z. IMO, the "sweet spot" for the Controller is Sport 5, which provides the most "linear" throttle response.

Hi Spen625,
I have the Soler controller on my 2015 Z06/Z07 manual transmission and LOVE it. You can tell a huge difference and can test that theory by installing and setting the controller to stock OEM and the dial it up to whatever you want and you WILL feel the difference.
I have the one that is NOT controlled by the app and I love it. I have my wire run into the center console under the lid so it is out of the way and I can see it and change settings by lifting the lid. I never change it generally speaking.
I do have a ported throttle body as well.
Get it!
Jeff

Any codes with the TB on a Z at the track? I want to pull the trigger but don’t want to have to remove it if it throws the p0106 code. I’ve had that code before but chased to just a loose connection.

I have a BMS air filter, Soler TC, and Soler ported throttle body on my Z06 M7.
My first mod was the BMS air filter. The increased throttle response was imediately noticeable. It makes the car feel lighter on it's feet, if you will. Plus, it eliminates the off-idle stumbling.
I then received the Soler TC for a gift. The ability to adjust the linearity and "boost" of the throttle makes the car much more enjoyable to drive.
I later added the Soler ported throttle body. The difference was barely noticeable after installing the other 2 mods first.
A less restrictive air filter should be your first mod, IMO. I feel that's where the most of the restriction is in the OEM intake design.
FWIW, I prefer Sport 2 or 3 on the Soler TC. Above that, on my car, the throttle becomes too touchy & makes the car difficult to shift smoothly....particulary between 1st and 2nd.

I would agree that you can make the car to sensitive with the throttle controller. I also liked sport 2 & 3 on the street but dialed it back to 1 for track days so I could better feather the throttle out of corners. If you are looking for that linear throttle it will be somewhere in that range imo. I think Soler provides a chart though that outlines each setting and the change.
Also. The customer service from Soler is top notch!

On my 2017, the soler throttle body helped with the tip in and generally made the first input of throttle better. On my 2019, I did not notice as much of a difference as the tune has been updated on the 2019 cars.

I have a 2019Z with the solar TB and TC and I could tell made a huge difference! I run it at SP 7 and that’s the sweet spot for me. I also have the GM performance air filter with a weapon X intake tube. Instant response off throttle. Manual I highly recommend it

Installed both the Soler TB and TC, and I agree these are 2 of the best mods I've done so far. Throttle response is definitely much smoother and quicker getting out of the gate, whereas before there was a slight annoying pause. And you can adjust that response to your liking - I've currently settled into Sport 5 for now.
