At least it's on the lift now. Let's hope the forklift breaks down again before they want to move it.

I like the jack post stood up under the rear keeping that thing from tipping off backwards off the lift with no engine up front.
hopefully some bozo won't ram into it with a pallet jack or something and wreck the whole car.
Or actually it might be a good thing, just take a check from insurance and move on.

That might be the best outcome for everyone involved.

It's going to go forward instead once they put the engine and suspension back in.

Don't tell us you haven't checked on the progress
Considering they told you for years "we don't want to tie up a bay", I'd say it's safe to say getting this done and out of the bay should be a top priority right?

This has got to be the worst case of owner to dealer involvement I have ever heard, period. Owner obviously doesn't care that much about when, if ever, he gets his car back or he would have raised hell a few years ago, lol. There would be no way in hell that I would have let this dealer get away with the myriad of excuses they have had for not fixing that car and letting it sit to rot outside. Its WAYPAST time to lemon it or get a lawyer to light a fire under that dealership's *** or that car! Rant Over.

I hope for your sake there is no issue on the engine rebuild. Fat chance of any warranty from the builder after this length of time.

It sure does seem unrealistic. I believe the guy I just don’t understand how he doesn’t walk in there and raise some hell! It’s been wayyyyy long enough as far as being reasonable and understanding. I just give up, I can’t comprehend. I know about all the set backs and tragedies, but come on it’s been like 4 years. I’m speechless 😶

I don't know why i dont either. I look back over this and I myself am dumbfounded at how it got to this point. AS I said somewhere above in lthis miniseries, you couldn't have scripted a more perfect confluence of major **** that kept me distracted enough to turn this into a marathon. Covid major surgeries, out of town funerals, deaths, rehab. I'm laying it down heavy to upper management (GM) and if not satisfied with their response, TV and legal action if even possible. I wont deal with ELCO directly except through the mechanic.

so another "life event" hit you aye? ECG day. did it last all day? How about the day before ECG day? Or the day before that?
It's seriously like you are just trying to make up lame excuses now to not give a crap about your own car.

I've been to a few funerals. So the funeral was out of town too? So did you drive one full day, attend the funeral, and then a day drive home?
ok, how about the day before you left for the funeral? Or the day after you got home?

You didn't get any new dogs did you? I feel like they might chew on your slippers and set you back a few months dealing with the fallout of that event.

this is hilarious man.

Hey! Schmuck! Ive put uo with a bumch of sarcastic or funny comments bc this situation is bizarre. I also have a pretty good sense of humor and fairly self deprecating,.the tests were 2 hours, BTW. I'm not here to prove anything to you or follow up on this according to your schedule.
Actually we rescued a new cat 2 months ago that showed up at our back door, but thank the heavens we managed to pull it together enough to get out and buy food. (Sarcasm) so, schmuck, as far as funerals, yeah, actually, I drove nonstop 1000 miles to florida to be with my mom waiting a week for her to pass. I then arranged for the funeral in New Jersey. Drive back to st louis non stop. Picked up my wife, drive non stop to new york for the funeral and arrange for the moving my dad's remains there. Then having to run back down tgere to dispose of ger belongingsand real estate. . A little bit of a distraction. Having my chest cut open wasn't much of a big deal either. I was up and about the next week! Drilling holes on my wife's head didn't really distract me much. More her. And yeah, putting down 15, 19 22 year old pets one after another distracted me a bit when combined with all this other ****. I was always in contact with Bill, via texts and heading down there when physically able.. today I have a toilet break and hanging an 83 inch G3 so I anticipate major back problems that will keep me from brushing ny teeth and checking on my car. You want a daily hour by hour report on the car? You go down there yourself.
