Z06 Battery Upgrade?
#21
The oem is not really anything more special than other batteries. Recall that there's only a handful of battery makers and way more brands. I've had the fun priveledge of oem dying on my gm cars. In the end I value a good price, warranty, and since the relocation to the back, a handle.

I'm basically in the same situation as you, low mileage, 3200 on my 2016 Z06, but the battery still tests fine. Keep in on a battery tender and when I do replace it I'm going to go with the OEM. Lasted this long so why go to another brand.

OEM batteries (AC Delco) are pretty good at a reasonable price.
Optima - not near as good as they were in the past. Not worth the extra cost.
Odessey - excellent batteries - probably worth the extra cost (do a search for Odessey here on the corvette forum).
I've also had good luck with DuraLast Platinum (or Gold) (nice that there are AutoZones almost everywhere).

Has anyone from California been able to buy the AC Delco 48 GHRA battery with the handle? I've been searching but have run into a wall. O'Reilly Auto Parts shows them on their website but it says "FREE Pick Up not available, Item under state or local regulations & restrictions". I messaged them and they told me that particular model battery is not available in California. However, I called my local Chevrolet dealer's parts department and they told me they do have one available for $220 + $60 core fee, plus some other BS fees. I was hoping to find it for a less cost. Any idea's?
