Trying to sell my 15 Z06/Z07 CCB/Comp Seats. Fair value?
Hi all,
I listed my z06 for sale mainly because I don’t drive it that often and just cannot honestly justify the payment.
I am not sure what the value would be considered since it’s a 15. It does have what I would consider low mileage and is also what I would consider mint. Except for some wear on the drivers seat which I can probably fix and the dash bubble the seems to come and go.
I’m over 30K into this car. I know that mods don’t add value but- this thing is an amazing car. Head turner.
I honestly think that the 75-76k mark is a fair price considering it has every option. FBO. All the carbon. Tires are basically new.
here’s the eBay link. It did not sell- bring a trailer wants a reserve at 59000 which I’m not comfortable with. I’ve had so many offers from dealerships at 60k.
i looked on cars.com and I see a few in the mid 70’s, same mileage or so but 1ZL, less options.
wondering everyone’s thoughts or where else I could sell!

What are the miles ?
What trim ?
What MODs ?
What color ?
Manual / Auto ?
Some folks run from a modded car, others ( like me) would appreciate it if done right ( treated properly) . When I was searching I knew the mods I wanted to do so if a car had them already I was prepared to consider a premium price. Not a 1:1 Delta on mod costs but certainly worth more than a vehicle that I would have had to add a CAI, MGW shifter, Custom Exhaust, Expel Wrap, Tinted Windows, Headers , Pulley, tune etc. etc.. the list could go on & on.
AutoTrader was go to Bible while I searched for an entire year.

That is not high mileage and it is a beautiful corvette (even to me and red is a non-starter). I do think your price is a bit high, more around $69k.

you have some nice mods for sure and the car looks well kept as well.
you can do what many seem is take back to stock as much as possible and resell the mods separate, I know its a pain sometimes to do that but in the end you wind up getting more money back if you have the time.
i dont see why that as is cant get about 70k to the right buyer.
best of luck.

My opinion is a key factor to determining a sales price is also about time. How fast do you need to sell it? If you need to sell it this week because you need the cash for another car, lower the price. If you really like the car, and don't need the cash, than raise the price. There may be a buyer out there that is looking for very close to your car that is going to modify the car anyway, and will give you $80k, but may take a few months to find. There are some folks that REALLY WANT COMP seats, but may be willing to give you $67K and try to find COMP seats later.
Looks like "market" is around $70k though for the 'average' buyer that is not too particular. But generally, those buyers don't like all the mods as it represents potential complications, they just want a reliable car they can take to a dealer for service and repair.
If you want to maximize return, replace all the stock parts (especially engine parts) and part out the aftermarket stuff and you will probably still get close to $70k.

I don’t need to sell it, I am just interested in making some equity I have on the loan and putting that towards a C8.
im over performance. Cars way too quick for me.

I don't think the asking price is too extreme. It is a little high for the age of the car. The issue is, that you will have a much smaller pool of potential buyers that find value in the mods. If you're a buyer looking for a modded Z06, this is a STEAL at what you're asking. If you're a buyer that wants an unmodded car (80% of the buyers) then this cars value is equal or lower than fair market value. Or they just won't even consider the car.
This is the problem with modding cars. The best way to sell a modified car is to un mod it and sell all the parts separately. If you leave the parts on the car and try to sell it, you will be lucky to get 10-20% of the value of the parts.

Not really feeling like one of these import folks that puts 50k into a car, and tries to list it for book value + 50k

Two months ago i passed on a 2015 with 12k ish miles and it was priced at 69500 and had a full body ppf on it, plus it was a manual with comp seats. Based on the market I was looking at then I think you're looking at 65000 on a good day for someone wanting a red one.

Market is changing - and quickly. You are in the area where most people will need a loan (don't @ me - most people need loans for couches, let alone cars) - and those loan terms are getting real shitty, real fast.
You asked for opinions. I have no horse in this race - I have mine. In a another quarter you may be wishing you were flexible.
In 2019, 2016s were in the 50s. Its 2023 now.

Agree with above post. I keep an eye on things myself. If you're going to sell, you better do it now. It's prime selling season in the northern half of the country. The prices in fall/winter could get ugly. Also interest rates rumored to rise even more. Filters out a lot of buyers.
