Default More power for my Z06 - thoughts?

I have a 2016 Z06 M7 that is totally stock. I want to get maybe another 75 - 100 RWH. I do not want to spin the blower faster with a different pulley because that generates more heat which if you dont have the proper cooling upgrades will pull timing. I am not interested in Meth or running E85. I don't want to open the motor to install a new camshaft.

This is what I was thinking about doing.

Pull supercharger unit off and send to Jokers Performance or Kong Performance for the porting program and match with a 103 MM throttle body along with a Rotofab Big Gulp intake and finish off with a tune. What kind of horsepower do you think this simple combo will get me? What are your thoughts? Would you add something or do something different? I am looking for stock drivability with just a little extra performance.

Thank You

Headers, ported blower with stock pulley, 103mm TB, Cordes or Big Gulp intake & tune would be your best bet. I don't think you'll get your RWHP target sticking with 91/93 octane but it will be a noticeable bump in power.

Would the headers make a big deal? Relly not interested in making the car louder.

Your best bet is to install a Maggie 2650.

Absolutely with more airflow coming in. You could go with a bigger blower but you will be limited on timing advance with 91/93 pump gas and stock manifolds.

Based on what you are explaining and looking for out of the setup, this is what I would recommend. Big gulp intake like you were thinking (or any 5 inch intakes out there), Stage x Kong CNC porting w/ stock upper pulley, 103mm nick williams throttle body, and a tune. These mods should get you just about exactly the gains you are looking (75-100rwhp) for with no noticeable increase in heat. Our turn around time on these blowers is 5-7 business days and we have shipping containers on the site as an option at checkout to make shipping the blower extremely safe and simple. If you have any questions feel free to email me direct at greg@kongperformance.com

Thank you Greg. Would it make sense to upgrade to a 2017 style blower or just use mine from my 2016?

From my experience there is no noticeable gain. Changing to a tall style OEM lid or an aftermarket billet lid would be beneficial though.

Thank you. I will check your website out for pricing and turnaround times. I plan to do this job myself and have my local tuner tune. When i am done with the installation can I limp over to tuner, or would I need a remote tune?

Thanks

What are the benefits of a billet lid on a 1st gen blower design?

The later taller lid allowed bigger cooling bricks.. you would need the bricks and the lid to really take advantage of it. I run a Ported LT4 and a Weapon X lid, Weapon X larger Carbon Air Tube mated to the C7 CAI and ported Soler TB not as crazy as a maggie but definitely more power unbelievable response I did all the install work myself as well... there are some good options out there that's for sure

I have nothing to add, other than to say that this sounds like a really nice way to get a big bump in power without the negatives of going into the engine, or spinning the blower faster. If I was you I would definitely install headers at the same time.

I appreciate the advice however I am old now 47 and I like things a little quieter. My header days and loud exhausts are over. LOL.

headers with the valves closed is still quiet. It is loud when the valves open though. Cruising around is nice and quiet

I've got 10 years on you, I can say that headers and no cats and full throttle is pure music to my ears! Oh, with the NPP exhaust, it's still quiet just running down the road.

I will consider it. What headers are you running?
