Nail in tire 2017 Z06. Fort Worth. Recommendations?
Nail in my back right tire. I usually go to NTB but they don’t appear to sell OEM tires. Any recommendations? I’d like to stick with OEM tires unless you all have overwhelming feedback that I’m missing something, because these have been probably my favorite OEM tires I’ve had on any car this far.

I've been using Discount Tire at I20 and Little Road. With my seven bent rims and then getting forged wheels, they have mounted my tires 4 times. They are fast and efficient...some places have trouble seating the run flats, but these guys are amazingly fast at it, and haven't damaged anything. Even the Chevy dealership 2 miles down the road couldn't seat the tires for hours and had to call in a specialist from another dealership.
I have bought the OEM tires from them, but I do not know if they currently have them. They make the oem's in batches, so they are available half the time, and the other half nobody can get them.

I just got a nail in my left rear tire. I have a appt to have the tire patched tomorrow. I have new custom wheels and will be purchasing new tires to go on this spring. I am thinking of going with Continental Extreme contact Sports.

1. pull out the nail, ream the hole with the supplied kit reamer
2. put a length of the rubber rope type plugging material in the insertion tool, insert into the hole and twist. Put air back in the tire and call it a day.
Tire manufacturers don't recommend this method simply because you have to do it correctly. it isn't idiot proof as an internal patch is. If you follow the instructions that come with the kit this type repair is as good as any other method and you don't have to remove and remount the tire.
In order to use this method the nail has to be somewhere within the tread i.e. not in the sidewall.

The discount tire close to me has the same equipment as the chevy dealer. They have no issues removing/patching/re-mounting my rear tires but I realize not every place will be the same just because they're part of the franchise so it's good to ask around. Your dealer may be the best option to patch it.

Another one for Discount Tire. I use the one on Bryant Irvin south of I-20. Never had a problem with the vette.

Discount Tire does this ALL day EVERY day (except Sun). You would think that they would have the best equipment and be good at it.
Also, it may be the only business I can think of, that actually charges $0 for a valuable service. That's actually somewhat unbelievable.
I once had a flat tire on my daily driver. AAA yanked it outta my garage to deliver it to them for $0 (other than the annual fee), then DT fixed it for $0. I picked it up the next day... at my convenience.
