So I've been on the hunt for a 17-19 z07 manual transmission car...one just popped up 2018 3lz only 5800 miles but no ppf and a few other stupid things about the car...
Here is a close shot of the front I see a lot of bent radiator fins and just general chips in the carbon splitter. It seems awfully high for a 5800 mile car...
It also has a GTC chassis mounted high wing spoiler which definitely isn't my taste and of course it's drilled.

I just checked my radiator. 2017 never tracked and no bent fins.
I recall seeing other brand new z06’s in 2016 and 2017 sitting on dealer lots or show room floors and some of them had bent fins on the radiator. Could be the radiators got bumped around in the shipping or install process at the factory
i don’t see any chips on the egg crate looking grill in front of the radiator. You would think that would really be nicked up too

That's the heat exchanger. It sits in front of the radiator.
But yeah that does look kinda bad. MIne doesn't look anywhere near that and i have over 20k miles.

I would say it looks like a 5800 mile car. Look at the white paint not the carbon fiber, the paint has a few chips in it but the damage I see on it and the carbon fiber could be due to running the car in a few track events. Take a look at the places where Corvettes get the most road debris damage over time. The sides of the car. With only 5800 miles there shouldn't be many sand pebble sized chips in the rockers, lower door, brake ducts and rear quarter panel.
If you don't like the spoiler I wouldn't purchase the car since it will take some repair work to remove it. It isn't just drilled through the top of the rear fascia, there is a bracket that supports the wing that is mounted under the fascia and rectangular holes in the fascia. Probably meaning the rear fascia gets replaced or you purchase a full Stage 2 Spoiler to cover up the holes.
However, the wing was done correctly. Some of them are attached to hatch lid and put a strain where they shouldn't. Running all of the forces down to the chassis is the solution that GM engineers used on the ZR1.

Track cars will show wear like that, especially in the southwest. And with a chassis mounted wing, it was likely tracked.

I'm pretty sure that car has been tracked a lot. Not that it won't make it any less reliable but just a bit more wear than a normal car. The drilled wing would be a definite deal breaker for me. If the car comes with a warranty and you don't mind the wing then take a shot at it, but if not, I would say continue your search.

Looks a little excessive to me. When I traded in my '16 Z06 with 5,000 miles on it, I didn't have a single chip in the splitter or in the paint. I always try to keep a good distance between my car and the car in front of me. I would think the previous owner tracked the car or followed people too closely.

Any pics of the wing?
If it looks like this you'll have no problem selling it here on the forum. Retail is about $3500.
How do the brake rotors look? If he tracked it hard they should be beat up pretty bad.

Sucks white with carbon roof and ground effect is exactly what I want but I'm just too angry about the 2k price increase over the weekend
they are powder coating the rims black if I did buy I was going to go with a set of take off ZR1 wheels, but no worries now, on to the next one.

I’d be up for talking about selling my 2017 Long Beach red 3lz manual with suede competition seats, red stitching, carbon dash, z07 visible carbon aero, and spectra grey wheels. Paint is perfect Without any rock dings like that one you are looking at and nearly covered the whole thing in suntek ultra PPF when it was new and had the windows tinted.
completely covered by GMPP warranty until 69,000 miles or March of 2025 whatever comes first.
