Mag ride update a success
'15 Z06 and I had the stealership download the updated software while it was in the shop for other work. I couldn't pick up the car for a few days so it did sit a few days after the download. I can say with certainty that I feel a huge difference. In "Tour", it's not as "floaty" and the road impacts are softened if that makes sense. "Sport" is much more composed and again, road impacts are not as harsh as before. This was definitely a worthwhile investment. Even though I got bent over with the other repairs, at least they only charged me $280 as opposed to the $350 I had read about others paying.

Glad to hear...
My '15 Z's mag ride is awful compared to my wife's very smooth '19 Stingray Z51 w/ mag ride. Sounds like I need to pay for a download. Anything in particular to ask for ?

It is an UPGRADE not an UPDATE. It is not required but recommended. MSRP is $350 on the upgrade.
I had it done to my 17 Z06/Z07 and i can definitely tell a difference in Tour and Sport modes.
Informative link regarding the upgrade:

Is your Z lowered on stock bolts?
I thought about doing the update but found out it might turn out to be worse if you had lowered your car prior to the update.
Someone stated that if you are lowered, raise it back up to stock, get the update, then lower it again and all is well. But i don't know how true that is.

2016 Z07. I debated, but my wife's unhappiness with the way the car rode made up my mind. It made a noticeable difference in Touring, Sport and Track. Handles bumps, particularly sharp ones, much better and feels more planted as well. Both of us are happy campers.

I have a 2017 Z06 I had it lowered using the stock bolts..and life was good
then I read the MRC update was better so I had it done and immediately ride quality got worse...to my surprise
I went back to the installing dealer and then again to another dealer having the the MRC reflashed...no luck
I describe the quality as "sell the car" bad......WAY WAY too harsh
then dealer said "lets raise the the height back up using the stock bolts"
BINGO
ride quality improved...both street and track
It's now been about 6 months, and I don't know if I want to lower the car to see what happens
Lets see what happens on my next track day on Cup2s
........it's been 3 months since my last track day, I hope I can remember where the gas pedal is....

2017 Z07 with PSS ZPs. Such a significant improvement that I can strongly recommend this upgrade to anyone. It is usually best to download the checklist and take it in with you and underline the critical selections in the process that apply to your car and how you want it done. There are options that will impact the final result. Also, I was glad that I hung around during the process. The mechanics doing the job came out to make sure which options I wanted downloaded.
Remember that you need to smoothly drive it home and then let it sit overnight to “ferment.”
I had two dealerships that wanted to charge the $350 and then tack on another $140 in mechanics time. At least they disclosed it ahead and I took it to a more upright dealer. A friend was told $350 at another dealership and when they were done they tacked on another $220 in mechanics fees. So be careful out there.

I may do this update. I come from a long C4 legacy, ANY car is a Cadillac compared to the Go-Kart C4s suspensions.
