After a long absence, Shawn from L.A. Performance Div, (L.A.P.D.) is back!!
Hey everyone, I don't know if anyone remembers me. My name is Shawn and I started L.A. Performance Division or L.A.P.D., back in 1999. I dealt with thousands of forum members during the decade I was with the company. It was really the best period of time in my life! I met and spoke with the nicest Corvette owners in the country! I used to live on this forum! I started supporting this forum back in 1999 when I started L.A. Performance. Back in 1999, this forum was very new and was started by the great Troy Roberts. How times have changed. My last Vette was a 2005 C6 coupe equipped with the MN6 trans. I was present here until around 2007 or 2008.
Fast forward 12-13 years and I'm back with a racing yellow 2019 3LZ Z06 that should be here in a week or two. I just wanted to say hello to everyone that may still be around from my time here that may remember me. I am still in the L.A. area, but am not with any motorsports company or anything similar.
It feels great to be back as a forum member and I hope to chat with some of the old faces that I knew back in the day!

It's so great that you guys remember! I hope to be around regularly now! Thanks for the comments!!! I loved the C5 days! Still one of my favorite body styles. The C7/Z06 has always caught my eye and can't wait to get it here. It should be here late next week I think. I have been searching for months and months and finally found a 2019 3LZ with the 7 speed manual!!!

One of your vette builds
Shawn,
I will be picking up one of your builds on Tuesday. It's a 2001 yellow vette. Listed mods as:
"This Corvette was delivered to the “LA Performance Division” in 2001 where its performance was enhanced with several important features. The engine is a 5.7 liter OHV 16-valve V8 coupled with a 4-speed automatic transmission. The functional engine upgrades include a Halltech intake system, special spark plug wires and ceramic-coated long-tube headers leading to an X-pipe and exhaust system with special tips. The fuel-rail covers have been painted yellow and accented with airbrushed red flames and a burning “LAPD” logo. The engine is fitted with a ProCharger LS1 supercharger and intercooler kit which is said to increase the horsepower by up to 55%. Although the engine has not been run on a dyno, the horsepower is said to be somewhere between 420 and 800 HP, and when you are driving this car, it seems more like 800!"
Curious on your thoughts on it.

Wow! That was our very first project car that we had for about 4 years before it was sold to someone in Pennsylvania back in 2004. Takes me way back! Car was crazy fast for it's time!
It's in great condition! What did you buy it for?
Still looks the same!
