Still missing your hellcat huh? lol
That whine is addicting. I find myself watching so many HC redeye videos lol. But i'm trying to contain myself.
Anyway to answer your question, i think some people have had success with going with an aftermarket air filter (or whole intake for best results), and taking off the hood insulation (not recommended) and driving with exhaust in stealth.
I know when i'm on longer highway cruises, i put it to stealth and i can hear the SC a bit more. It's not where near the decibels of the hellcat whine but you can hear it. Just barely lol.
I hate that GM put a weak blower on our cars.

Remove the plastic cover that goes right here.

It could be the type of blower? Or the size? I think HC blowers are 2.3 vs our 1.7? Idk Could be a reason why.
But yeah that whine is addicting. It adds so much excitement whenever you put your foot down lol. No wonder why those cars are so popular.

The Z06 draws its intake air from behind the wheel well liner, and that dampens the blower sound quite a bit.

I have the cordes 5" and I still don't here the wine, it must the size of the blower. The lid dampens the sound im sure it was designed that way.
I just hear the engine.

Remove the plastic trim just above the intake air filter. I hear whine. Not loud. But it's there, specially as a passenger.

I have the rear weather stripping removed, a fully ported and polished blower with a 2.3 upper, ZR1 tb and AFE cai. I can hear a light whine at low speeds but not under throttle, mostly because of the TSP long tubes. The small thin rotors of the 1740 blower are not like that of a maggy or vmp style blower that produces a loud whine.

Pulley down, air intake, NX lid...sounds like a vacuum cleaner on throttle!

Not really a SC fan, just because, well Turbos, but I can relate a bit as though I love my C7 Z Vert I still miss my turbo built 911 spinning the big turbos up at about 3,200 RPM, you first sensed and then heard and the felt the big hyper space woooosh….and mine also had a CF CAI which you could really hear...damn I miss that car...but I do love my Z Vert too.
But there is no denying how amazing the SC whine is. It just adds to the sound effect of a proper V8. It's the reason why hellcats sound better than our cars stock vs stock. I think the dodge V8's, the 6.2/6.4 sound better than our cars. The 5.7 hemi sounds like a motorboat at idle, but so does our cars LOL.
I don't blame you. I can't help but grin and act jealous a bit whenever i see or ride in my buddies hellcat. It's a great all around car. And right there with the Z in performance.
I think it has something to do with fire? God forbid the engine lights up. And not only that, the immense heat will surely ruin the paint on the underside of the hood faster. But you can definitely get more sound if you take it off. Try it for experimenting.

I probably have one of the loudest stock blower Z06s in terms of supercharger whine.
Mods that I have that specifically contribute are my upper and lower pulley upgrades, aggressively ported blower and snout, AFE CAI, NX lid, and ported TB. And while not mods I removed the weatherstripping seal as well as the hood liner which both help mask whine.

Our shop car whines pretty good with a ported blower and an NX lid. With the exhaust valves closed I hear it very clearly. For a free mod you can always take the stock lid off and remove the plate on the bottom of it. Some say it's a silencer but don't expect anything night and day different. It's a reason to get in the garage for a little bit though. The best answer in the NX lid. It's way thinner then the factory lid and does add volume. If you guys need them hit us up. We are an NX authorized dealer.
