if anyone thinks they are getting 70-75 on trade for a C7Z you are going to be so mad, the dealership is going to be labeled a criminal, etc etc.

16s are retailing in the 50s right now.

a 17 will trade for about 60

Z07 is worth about $5000 more than a Z06.

2019s are going through manheim right now for high 60s.

None of that has ANYthing to do with the C8 announcement, C7 values won't be affected by the C8 until supply and demand takes effect. There are no C8's right now, if you want to drive a new Corvette today, you have to buy a C7.

We also don't know if the C8 will even be successful or a total flop yet.

Some of you guys are way premature.

Get real, bud. You'd get 65 tops, if it does only have 750 miles like you showed in the KBB.

Besides, you showed private party value, which no dealer is going to touch. You wouldn't even get that private party, since no one is going to buy a 2 year old car for more than what it would cost for a new one.

The word "sub" 0-60....why not the real number?
Perfectly credible with the DCT -- especially if it can actually continue to apply torque from 2nd *while* shifting into 3rd (as stated by a GM employee).

Gain a couple hundreds here, a couple hundreds there, and add in a lower 1st gear (which Tadge specifically said was there to improve off-the-line acceleration), and you start to put down impressive 0-60 numbers.

People who are so hung up on resale value probably would be better off buying a Mustang.

I bought mine to enjoy driving it and the trade in value be damned.

I can only hope that the C7Z value goes down, that way I will buy one.
No way I'm buying a sports car with an automatic, so no C8 for me.

No matter what you say people complains no matter what ! I bought my 17 Z06 not concerned about nothing on value, I bought it to enjoy a American sports car for a good value. People that can't afford shouldn't be slamming about cost or be concerned about another man's likes or dislikes this is a forum to discuss about this great car. I've owned 10 of them and if I wanted a 19 ZR1 I would go buy it.
Why would anyone have something to say about another man's car of value. I buy every car to enjoy and when I do sale I get what I want give you example I own
1 2019 Dodge Challenger Redeye ( sold a Demon)
2 2019 Mustang GT Shelby 350
3 2017 Corvette Z06 with Z07 3LZ
4 2019 Cadilac Escalade ESV
5 2019 Dodge 2500 Truck with Cummins
6 2013 F150 Farm truck
Dodge truck used to pull camper or 28' trailer for 2 off road UTV 's
So do you think I'm worried about value go complain on FB. Sarcasm is for people that can't afford the pleasure of owning and selling what you want in our Grest Country.
Why bash what someone else does or put someone down over childess replies.
I love this forum and great comunicator for the great Corvette no matter what you pay or sell it for. I use this forum as a great tool not bashing someone else business.

C8 as presented appears to be a beast. Sub 3 second times to 60 on the base z 51car. Improved steering geometry, coil over suspension. Base car will be what 4.1?

All this on the base car let alone what options one can order for a 5 to 10k? So for 75k what do you get?

My 16 z stickered for 94.

Spend 94 for a C8 and I don’t believe there will be a comparison.

Handling will make all the difference.

C7Z is a great car, the next generation will be better.

Depreciation is a bear.

Yes they all depreciate even the new C8 will too. I don't care because this is my last Corvette that I plan on driving till I can not drive anymore!

I'm sure after all the first year or two bugs are worked out, I'll entertain the thought of getting a C8 "Z" version. Until then, I'm glad I got the last year Z06 3LZ Z07 M7. I'm sure there are a few diehard fellas that like to row the gears and will be happy with my particular options when I sell it.

I don't know where you guy who think the current Z is selling for $50K are shopping but please let me know. I could make a killing on reselling them!

Nationwide search on Cars.com yields exactly one Z06 below $55K. Those that are at $55K have 30K+ miles on them. A low mileage (less than 20K) Z will cost you $58K all day.

This may change once the C8 is AVAILABLE but that's the reality right now. Search it yourself if you're in doubt.

Will the Z06 go down in value? Of course. It's been doing that since you bought it. They all do. As I mentioned in another treat, to get a comparably configured C8, you'll have to pay MSRP which for a 2LT Z51 is likely to be in the low $70s. By early next year when you can actually get a C8, the Z06 is likely to be in the low $50s to high $40s. Still a pretty appealing car at $50K when you consider its going to be virtually identical in performance to the C8 which costs $20K more.

Just my opinion. My 19 Z06 on Kelly blue book is not not looking bad at all with trade in value. But it don’t matter I’m not trading my Z in it only has 600 miles on it. I chose the C7 over the C8. If I end up buying a C8 it will be at the last run like my 19 Z06. You will get a better deal just like it did on my C7.

Originally upgraded my 2016 C7 Z06 to 710hp for less than $1K, without impacting the extended warranty, and has been 100% problem free. And no worries that come with any complex first year product. That hp level C8 will come at a noticeably higher price than what I paid.

The double overhead cam engine C8 version certainly could be a great performer. As a more complex and more expensive engine, once out of warranty the maintenance and replacement costs will be significantly more than an overhead valve engine. Adding to that long term ownership cost is the more complex and expensive DCT transmission. The packaging complexity with any mid-engine car also adds to ongoing repair costs. Presently there is the question of being able to mod the car, even in a basic way.

And most, certainly including myself, cannot even begin to use the capability of the current cars, especially with the lousy roads and speed limits in much of the country - for those than do not track their car.

I am seeing 63,900 in your picture on the "what you're going to get end" and 68 on the "please come in end" and 72 "with tax savings" which means they are including your tax credit from buying a car from them, which is not a cash offer at all.

With that said, if you can get 63,900 for your car you should take it and run. I think you should head on over to that Nissan dealership and see what the real appraisal is.

No I've got my eye on a Pacer, If your old enough to know what that is. But I really do liked Chrysler K car. Studying both Nissan to high for me to shop there. After getting 29 K for 17 Z06 won't be able to afford much. Good luck to anyone that listens to the high 40's for your Z06 to the reply above.

if you think you're getting 70 for your 16 on trade/wholesale have a look at this screenshot.

three seconds on car gurus shows 2019's RETAIL mid to high 60's. sure those are 1LZ but a 2016 is worth WAY less than a 2019 and the 3LZ package only books for 1500-2000......
