2016 mag ride control update don't do it
Went and had the Mag Ride Control Update done on my 2016 Z with 10k miles.cost was $300.waited a day and then went on a 100 mile ride on different modes.i felt little or no difference in tour and sport mode.i live in upstate NY where the roads aren't that good.thought I would get a better ride, but did not happen.save your money, its not worth it.i do not track the car.

Had it completed on my 2016 Z and thought the change was very noticeable and worth the money. Even my wife’s noticed the difference!

Best money spent on my 2016 Z07, noticed the difference immediately in dealer parking lot. I’ve experienced the exact changes described in the Ask Tadge thread.
If you didn’t notice a difference then the correct load didn’t make it or you’re really out of touch with your car.
Just to confirm, you asked for the Chevy Performance Parts Catalog MSRC Upgrade? They have to call the tech support line and the cost is $350.
If you simply asked for a “MSRC Update” they likely just flashed tour car with standard software. You wouldn’t be the first....Does the dealership sell/service many C7s?

Noticed all settings were better as soon as I left the dealer. Although the setting changes made less of a difference because to me overall because touring mode alone was so much better. Car felt like it had more controlled suspension travel rather than being too soft then too harsh going from one setting to the next.

Had the update performed for my 16Z last Sept after 2 bent wheels. Glad I did, I noticed the difference immediately in tour and sport. Hope this reduces the chances of another bent wheel.

Absolutely the best money ever spent on my 2016. The same road traveled was like driving two different cars.
OP. Go back... they did it wrong or your car is jacked.

With no offense to the OP, I had the update done to my '17 Z06 and I thought there was a big difference in how much more compliant Tour and Sport modes were afterward. Expansion joints jarred the whole car before, now they are much smoother. However, I had a friend who got the update done on his '17 GS and swears it was much worse than before. He hated it so much he wanted to go back to the way it was and the dealer told him it couldn't be done. However, he lowered his GS on the stock bolts prior to the update so I wonder if that somehow makes a difference.

Just glad the 19 Z’s came with the update already.

i think the dealer failed you. I would go to another dealer and tell them to contact GM and have them plug in and verify it is IN your car (they have a list of people's vins who have paid to have it installed, that means nothing, obviously you are on that list. You need to have them plug into your car and make sure it IS installed.

Running that setup step on the original calibrations would likely cause the same problem.

The update literally transformed the ride in my 15z. If you can't feel a difference, either your *** is numb from previous pounding or they install didn't go correctly.
