Exactly! I don't think you read my post "correctly".
-I purchased both the stock Oem shifter handle (to accommodate the stock Oem ****), the race **** & shifter handle (thats a total of two handles & *****....plural, not singular)
-I installed the race handle & ****
-My complaint is why would MGW sell (as a drop down option) the race **** & handle if you can not attach the shifter boot collar (like the stock Oem ****) to their race ****

I bought my MGW shifter months ago when it was on sale. It's still sitting in the box it was shipped in. Oh well, I'll eventually install it. Just like my Borla X-pipe, still sitting in the box too.

Ain't that the truth! Working on the driver mod now. That's taking forever. I figure there's no need to add horsepower until I learn how to use every bit that I have. When I break 2:00 at VIR I'll upgrade to something with more horsepower. Either that or when I can get a z06 or zr1 in the mid engine car.

Melting Slicks
Yeah I'm actually currently thinking I'll keep my shifter stock as well. The C5 Z I just traded was basically bone stock other than a MGW shifter, the only mod I have always felt like I have to do to every car I've owned that's a stick! But frankly after driving that for a very long time, it's somewhat refreshing to have the ease associated with the stock shifter right now. We'll see how long that lasts
