What do you think?
Recently I went through a bit of a mess with bent and cracked rims which was detailed in another post. I had taken the car to Discount Tire to have them straightened and repaired. Unfortunately the vendor they sent them to managed to tear up the wheel rim edges in the process. The DT manager, Matt, was more than cooperative in rectifying the situation by providing a new free set of Continentals with insurance and mounting, swapping out the old wheel tire set, etc. I can't say enough about how DT handled the issue with speed and a no-hassle attitude. When I came back to do the swap out I was immediately taken to the manager who oversaw the whole process. They've certainly earned my future business for tires on all of my cars. My complete solution was to get a set of forged Signature wheels from Khoa with a new set of Continentals. Dealing with Khoa was a pleasure and took only four weeks from ordering to their arrival in Atlanta and they are beautiful. Packaging was excellent. I never was a big fan of the ubiquitous black wheels and switched to a crystal burgundy color. With the new Conti's the car drives and behaves like a new car with much less noise, better handling and definitely a smoother, more civilized ride In the pictures in the bright sunlight they appear a little lighter than they really are. At any rate, I like them but I understand they may not be everybody's cup of tea. Just seemed to me that black wheels have become sort of like white wall tires used be...any car that didn't have them was considered ugly and cheap. Black rims and tires were chintzy back then. Nowadays, who would be caught dead with whitewalls unless they were on a pre-'70's?.
So who likes colored wheels?

Actually, I kind of like them. My car is also Arctic White and I've toyed with the idea of doing something a little different with my black rims. When I see things like this on other people's cars I'm tempted, but at nearly 70 years of age I usually give in to my conservative side. : cheers:

Looks great!
Conti's FTW!! Best single mod you can do to a car, is tires. Conti's are way better than the PSS for street use.

You're right, Rob. I can't believe how much better the car feels and rides. It's only a street car anyway and will never see the track while I own it.
