Considering Akrapovic slip on

Burning Brakes
1. I had the Evolution Line (includes new X-pipe) installed vs. the Slip-On you are considering. Here is the link to the Slip-on installation instructions from the Akrapovic website. It appears some cutting may be involved to mate with the Borla X-pipe.

2. I believe the Evolution sound is more refined in general over other exhaust systems. Unique when you open up the throttle! You'll be pleased with Tour mode sound. I use stealth when driving in my residential areas.
3. I purchased my set through Weapon-X (https://weaponxmotorsports.com), a forum vendor. Best price and availability at the time. Akrapovic was hard to find for awhile.
4. I had Callaway install my set while they had my car for their SC757 upgrade.

So i installed the Norcal primary cat delete pipe and Borla X pipe on my 17 Callaway 757 M7 last week. I still have the stock axle back. I am thinking about doing the Akra slip on. I have some questions for anyone with them.
1) Do i have to cut the Borla X pipe to adapt to the Akra slip on?
2) My car is still extremely quiet in tour mode ( which i like) how quite is it in tour with the Akra?
3) Who has the best price?
4) How difficult is the install?
The sound on my car now is very loud but has a little bit of a broken muffler sound IMO. I am looking to keep the same volume but a more refined sound.
Thanks in advance

Go with the full catless system. The fit and finish of the akrapovic exhaust is much better than the borla. I had two borla x pipes before I went with the full Akrapovic system. After seeing and installing the Akrapovic I would have been upset if I kept the borla.
The borla with stock mufflers sounded better than stock, but the akrapovic sounds amazing.
Btw, you'll have no problem selling the borla. ; )
Thanks again Josh!

Melting Slicks
Does anyone know if the carbon fiber exhaust tips ONLY for C7 are available? Know they are available for 2005 -13 including the Z06.

There are bootleg Akrapovic tips on ebay, that are made in China and look like the real thing, but are not, I have seen two C7's with these tips, and the owners were straight forward when I asked them where they got them

I believe the sound file located at the link below might help answer your question, at least in a relative sense. The Akra sound is unique!

i did not have to cut to fit my akra onto the x pipe, stealth mode does quiet it up a bit, and i do love the sound of this setup. I bought mine from forum sponsor @Merakiautoworks. no youtube video will ever do it justice, i was on the fence about pulling the trigger and after the install i was so happy i did.
