Car shows

I'm sure a lot has. I wouldn't enter mine. It's just a car and a daily at that too so it's not really show worthy I don't think.
Maybe if you're in a small town, there are no vettes and yours is pristine.
I do go to meets though.

I wouldn't enter a judged competition but I'd sure take it to "cars and coffee" or any kind of cruise in.
We had a post from a guy a couple of months back who put his in a show and won, so anything is possible, but I don't really get judging stock, unrestored modern cars, so I haven't.

i see no issue with it but to win a dust collector (trophy)? some type of concurs or money great. keep the trophy lol most have some type of charity angle which is great. save the trophy money for the charity.

My father in law, my 2 year old, and I are heading up to Limerock park for the concours tomorrow. They put me in a judged supercar class. I'm hoping the car seat helps and will probably also put a sign that says 44k miles. Maybe I'll print out a snow photo and leave it on the dash. I have a feeling I know who I'm losing to...

I know car shows and even Corvettes only shows get bad raps because of the bad behavior for some trophy hunters, however the show our club hosts as well as the ones I attend regionally all have charity-based proceeds so it all goes to something bigger than just cars.
My advice is to go and have fun with the intent of seeing other cars and meeting new people. If it's a bad experience, don't go back to that show and/or event as there are plenty other events out there.

Just had my new 2018 at a Cars an Coffee this morning, probably over 300 cars in attendance, and a good cross section of Corvettes. Got a ton of positive comments, and I personally prefer those events to judged shows. Even when I attend a judged show, I ask that my car not be judged, I'm sure you've noticed how completely **** some can be over a $5 plastic trophy. I just go to check out the cars, no matter the make, I just like cars.
We don't even have a cars & coffee, I'd like to attend that.

I go to the same C&C events you do and last week there were over 500 cars and a ton of old muscle. I don't even look at the new cars and I never bring mine.

I took best in class for vettes one show.. never again since... being in Naples, very political who wins unless you bring something they have never seen before and they have no choice but to award you lol. good luck. have fun don't take it too seriously
