Having said that, I'm glad to see this STICKY survive and serve it's purpose as intended. Thanks OP. Helps me, helps others. Now on to further Z06 FS searches.

FYI: I own a 2016 C7 Z06 Automatic A8 and get ICE COLD A/C —> I live in Florida too which had temps of 98 degrees and very high humidity. I honestly had to turn my A/C to only 2 bars (basically lowest) as I honestly couldn’t feel my hands.. No joke..... So take your car to dealer and you may want to go talk to the GM of dealership (that’s what I had to do to get service dept in line)..... Your car should have ICE COLD AC!

Transmission occasionally pops out of first gear particularly when cold. 5000 miles of backroads and autocross.
Two trips to the dealer. The first time they trimmed the shift boot. The second time they replaced the shift fork and synchronizers . The report was that the synchronizers were “out of spec”. Appears to be fixed at this point.

2019 Z06 A8 with 3,200 pampered miles on the odometer. Had all of the lifters replaced last month after 1 lifter went bad. The dealer replaced all of the lifters as a precaution. Fortunately, there was no damage to the cam.

It was making a very loud ticking noise from the driver's side of the motor. The motor in my car was a little noisy almost from Day 1, but I thought it was just the nature of the beast. The ticking noise became very pronounced last October just before I was supposed to put it into storage. I sent a video to my Corvette tech and he said it sounded like a bad lifter. They found one lifter had partially collapsed. As I said in my previous post, there was no damage to the cam. The dealership, Stasek Chevrolet in Wheeling, IL, was great. After the lifters were replaced, I drove the car right from the dealership to the place where I store it, a distance of about 8 miles. It seemed to run fine and I'm looking forward to driving it again in the spring.

2019 c7 z06 - lemon, ugggg!
Recently had my 2019 C7 Z06 bought back after nearly a year but got most of my money back. From day 1 the car had issues, starting with a one week delay for delivery because the dealer told me it was missing the rear spoiler upon delivery. (Sounded fishy to me but what can ya do?) Then shortly after picking it up I quickly noticed the gas door would not open, the passenger door was rubbing on the front quarter panel and the passenger seat was stained with what appeared to be black silicone. After repairing all that, the car was ok but I noticed the transmission was not great (7 speed manual). For a car of this caliber I expected much better. It would occasionally pop-out of first and I was just thinking that maybe I was not used to it. Turns out at about 5000 miles it started to pop-out of 7th gear consistently. Brought in and it needed a transmission rebuild. What? I drove the car very gentle and did not attend any track days. It took them over a month to repair and at that point I had enough. Filed a lemon law suit and went from there. I strongly believe that somewhere between leaving the factory and being delivered to me the car was abused by an overly zealous employee but it's something that I could never prove. I truly believe that it was either wrecked and repaired before being delivered or fell off the carrier, etc... I have had a C5 and a C6 corvette previous to this one and they performed nearly flawlessly. I am so very disappointed in the quality of the car I received but sometimes life gives you lemons. The moral of the story; inspect the crap out of a car before signing any paperwork to pick it up at the dealer. Bye, bye Vette!

I have a 2019 Z06 M7 with a problem of the clutch not fully return to the start position. I can with my the aid of my foot bring it back to its original position. I took it to the dealership and they said it is the clutch return spring at fault.
They are supposed to install it tomorrow. We shall see if this corrects the problem.

Mystery problem
2019 Z06, A8, about 15K miles. Phoenix, AZ - Two weeks ago I started hearing a rattle. Since I couldn't pin point it myself I took it to the dealer for diagnostics. At first they thought it was the water pump (replaced under warranty), but the rattle did not go away. Then they thought it was the torque tube. They followed GM's diagnostic suggestions but could not find the source. NOW, GM has instructed them to pull the engine (Yikes!). The dealer has had it for two weeks and are telling me its going to be a long time. Has anyone else had this problem? Thoughts/suggestions are appreciated.

C7 z06 steering noise
Hello. I am new here. I have a 2016 Corvette Z06 3LZ A8 about 12k miles with carbon ceramic brake option. Love this beast however for the past few months I noticed a weird noise coming from the steering. It's like a groaning popping noise. It only happens when I'm taking a right turn above 15 mph and doesn't always make the noise. I even heard it once taking a fast corner at 60 mph. It was pretty loud. If I jerk the wheel left and right like when you're warming up the tires then I do hear it each time the steering wheel is to the right. I've taken to this one dealership that also has a mechanic shop which has sold many corvettes and a few ferraris for many years and they couldn't find out what was wrong with it. They checked under the car and everything is in perfect order. The car drives perfect as it did the day I got it with 7k miles. Other than this I have had the 2 rear rims crack, the front two brake sensors wore out and got the brakes worn warning, and I did have the radiator replaced with the updated one earlier this year through the "special service" although I didn't notice a difference in cooling.

My car is currently at dealer having factory rebult A8 installed and yes it's out-of-warranty. I was experiencing pretty severe delayed engagement. When I shifted from neutral to drive or reverse it would pause then bang into gear. It was not doing this only when cold either. The dealer did the flush and fill. I assume reflashed the programming. The next recommendation was to perform a TSB related to replacing the stator shaft cradle. This rerquired removing the transmission, dissambly, etc. I figured might as well replace the transmission considering the overall cost of parts and labor.
Anyway, now, I'm having second thoughts as to whether it really needed a new transmission. In the past, it might have done this once or twice when cold but after having a stage II cam installed, it seemed to happen more frequently hot OR cold. Is it possible the transmissoin just wasn't programmed correctly? Basically, other than the delayted engagement, the transmision was fine. Just embarrasing leaving the gas pumps or manuevering in parking lots when shifting from drive to reverese and back, etc.
