I had no idea you were so involved in the corvette world. I know you from the N54 platform.

I used to be big in to LS1s and C5s back in the day... Then switched to BMWs. Wanted a Z06 for a personal toy and figured why not make something for it when I figured out what everyone else was getting wrong with the drop in filters and intakes.

I have the BMS and Tony’s PTB on order. Plan on no tune at this time. I was reading on another thread that people lost low end torque with Borla X pipe. Maybe the Stingrays??? Would like the X pipe for sound but don’t want to lose torque/power down low. I am one of the 5% that threw a code with the PTB but in a late build 16Z not 17. Tony is sending one less aggressive. Is it known that the reflashing was just needed in early 17s? Thanks for any advise/info.

I have a 2016 c7z automatic. I am at sea level. I have the BMS white filter, but no CAI. I have had no codes. I installed a katech ported TB. I took the car up to 150, and my engine light is now on. I assume I am running lean.

If i take the car to the dealer tomorrow, what are the odds they will notice the ported TB and air filter? I refuse to tune the car. Will I run lean and blow the motor running this combination if I don't make a correction? Everything else on the car is stock.

chances are low, they will likely just apply the 17-NA-264 fix for the p0106 light.

The filter is just a replacement filter so that won't be an issue. They could say something about the throttle body but there is little chance they will open it up to check IMHO.

i have the same mods and returned it to stock when t got the light. It took about 40 minutes, and is not worth the risk to me.

Does this fix apply to the 16's? I thought it was 17 only.

The greatest reason to get the new CAI from GM is the new tune. Or use the BMS and the PTB and buy the CAI and Tune and then sell the CAI but keep the tune.

I found that after installation of the Mamo PTB the stumble was gone. After then adding the BMS filter the stumble was back but at a lesser level. This is in a 2016 Z06. Removed the BMS and all was good again.

Hey Doc, sorry to hear that. I have and love the Mamo PTB and was planning on the BMS as my next purchase. Good to know though, thanks for posting.

I have the same mods. Someone may correct me but I believe your feeling the Torque Management system, not the Off Idle hesitation which those Mods help (m7 here). The torque MS is more pronounced once you add mods . It feels like the car just wants to go go go. My .02

Feels more like off idle hestitation since it occurs at limited throttle openings. Due to endless police presence, rarely drive aggressively.

Same thing here. My car loved the Mamo TB but just didn't seem right when I added the BMS filter. Took the BMS filter off and runs/idles perfect again.

I installed the BMS a few months ago and it definitely helped with the throttle lag. Overall power increase doesn't seem too noticeable, but I wasn't expecting much from just an air filter.
I did it just to confirm that it helps with the lazy throttle, and it definitely does.

Also I did have a CEL before installing the BMS, so I had the reflash done my dealer for the P0106 code about a month before I installed the BMS. I haven't had a CEL since.
