It took me 2 hours and a little more to wash, dry, clay, and wax. And I just used a spray wax cause I knew I was getting this done! Also, all that time, buying the best wax money can buy and all it's gonna do is fill in the scratches, cost money and wash off. That's just my 51cents.

Completely covered in XPel and Ceramic Coated was Arctic Coat

Washed the car yesterday morning, fun to blast the dirt right off, I'd say 75%+ comes off with just the hose due to the coating.

Dry with my air compressor with a Husky Air Blower (decently powerful) and the water sheets off nicely (again due to the coating). Final dry with a waffle weave.

Thinking of getting a 4hp metro vac & blog but curious if the blower is worth it. Or should I continue with my compressor, or just take my brothers gas backpack blower

There technically aren't any you can do yourself that I know of. All have paint correction or other aspects to application that require people who are "trained" in order to get the right results. Having said this, I have found people who sell it on eBay and whatnot though people aren't supposed to do that.

I have used Ceramic Pro and Gtechniq but there is also C-Quartz Finest. I like Ceramic Pro better than Gtechniq (for various reasons, but basically it just works better). Lost of people seem to like C-Quartz but its not endurance tested like Ceramic Pro and the installers I have talked to (that install all 3) have said Ceramic Pro is better.

Whats the cost per application? I take it you paid someone to apply it?

I've done both
Professionally applied Arctic Coat on the Z
Personally applied Pinnacle Black Label on the TA

Fantastic results on both cars

Cost was about $500 on the Z
Pinnacle Black Label kit is $200 and can do 3 cars (I've only done 1 so far)

I have three other cars professionally done in C-Quartz finest. One of them is my daily driver pickup truck. The coating holds up great. I just called and scheduled today to have paint correction done on my Z06 followed up by Suntek protective film and then the C-Quartz Reserve ceramic coating applied. My understanding is that the C-Quartz Reserve was just introduced at SEMA this year and has a fantastic look. We shall see.
