Papier-Mache wheels
Add me to the bent wheel club. My sense is the Cup2s have much stiffer sidewalls than the Super Sports. It was immediately noticeable when I changed over to the Cup2s last week. Ride quality was much worse in terms of bumps, jitters and general NVH. Drove 6k miles on the SSs without any wheel issues. One week on the Cup2s and I've bent a wheel.

I've ordered a set of non-run flat MPSS which should be here tomorrow. Hoping the less stiff sidewall will absorb some of the energy and prevent me from bending my "new" OEM wheels.
I was planning on switching to non-run flats even before my wheels bent due to the cost of the ZP tires. I only get about 4,500 miles out of a set so I prefer the standard MPSS. I buy enough tires that I got a great deal on the standard MPSS. I paid $1,450, tax included and mounted out the door.
I also think the DSC Sport shock controller I have will give the OEM wheels some relief.
I really don't want to have to buy a set of forged wheels for the street.
The standard MPSS which will be here tomorrow are:
295/30/19 and 325/25/20.
I do have a set of 18" forged Signature wheels on the way for track work.

Rick, please post pictures once installed. Curious to see if your aforementioned sizes will provide the same look as our stock runflats from a profile standpoint.

The front ZP diameter is 25.8" and the non-run flat is 26.0".
The rear ZP diameter is 26.6" and the non-run flat is 26.3".

Let us know how they fit and work for you. Love a lot about the MPSS ZPs as well as the Cups. I use a set of each, but eventually they both will go away and non ZPs seem to be a great solution. In the meantime I am running each set of tires on forged Monoblocks.

Not sure if this applies to any of the previous posts but I thought I would throw I my two cents. I just returned from Spring Mountain and among the many things I learned, the instructors are great, if you use track mode on the street you will likely bend a wheel. Track mode is for the track, most streets are just not maintained to the level that would allow use of track mode.

You're lucky. As you know I bent all 4 of mine with just the MPSS ZP. GM just replaced 3 of mine under warranty. One of the fronts was still within acceptable run-out.

What drive mod are you guys running when damaging the wheels? I'd think that the tour might offer better protection on the crappy road more than sport and track due to better/softer dampening. Not that mod selection is an excuse, just curious.

Track mode can increase your odds of bending a wheel because more force is applied to (or resisted by) the wheel by the suspension over a pothole, but it's not a magic setting that will bend wheels where Sport won't, for example.
I'm surprised anyone gets a wheel replaced under warranty for road hazards (and I don't know the details of rikhek's case, so speaking in general terms). I consider that pure goodwill and "make the customer happy" stuff by GM that people should appreciate. It's like buybacks of cars that don't meet lemon law criteria.... even GM should get a pat on the back now and then.
