Can't open the trunk!
Just took my 2016 Z06 out of storage! Drove it home and I cant open the trunk! FOB wont work on it and I tried the button to the left of the steering wheel! No luck! Put the car away as soon as I bought it, so I'm not familiar with it yet--dumb ***! Any ideas??
Thanks Guys!

^^^ Try the trunk release button at the back of the car, just above the plate.. small rubber covered button.. or the key in similar spot.. the obvious.. is it in park if A8 or turned off if M7..

Also, just a FYI. *IF* you put the car in valet mode and then take it out of valet mode, SOMETIMES the trunk will not open via remote FOB or the release button inside the car. If you experience this, just remove the KEY from your FOB and unlock it manually. There is a keyhole on the underside of the trunk. Once you unlock it manually, it will reset and the FOB and button inside the car will work.

I notice as well that sometimes after a few days in the garage the seals seem to want to stick to the trunk, I don't know if it would be enough to keep it from opening at all but if it does it after a weekend on mine I imagine it could be worse on a car that was in winter storage

I had trouble opening my trunk a few times too. It would work, then the next time it might not. I took in in when I got the recall notice. I guess it was a glitch in some sensor. Works perfectly now.

2017 stingray
My father passed away over xmas. And he purchased a 2017 stingray during summer. Well while he was in and out of hospital the car battery died because no one was able to use it. Now with it dead i know about the key hole under tail. But the issue im having is the key will not fully insert into the key hole. Tried contacting the dealership and they are no help just say unless it can be brought down they cant do anything about it. Has anyone else had this isaue at all? AAA cant do anything because of the window safety feature and said if they tried to hard it woukd just break the window. Im at a loss now i need to sell the car due to finances and cant even get in it to get it started! Its been 2wks need help!

It just doesn't sem that my key goes all the way in. And the dealership recommended trying aome liquid graphite on the key in case some debris got into the lock. But just does not seem lik that is the issue

My key fob was not working, and so i used the manual key in the back of the car. My key inserted find and when i turn it, nothing happens. I know its suppose to pop the trunk open. Can someone please comment on why this is not working? Thanks
