Hi,
I am thinking of having the side windows and back hatch tinted. I am curious as to how many of you have had your windows tinted aftermarket. If so, how dark did you go. I believe that in my home state the darkest we can legally go is 35%. I had a ZL1 that I had tinted 15% and that was too dark. What say you?

I have Llumar ceramic done on my 16' Z. 30% on sides and rear and 50% on the windshield. I absolutely love it! My eyes are sensitive to light and my eyes feel very relaxed and I can see easily through the tint.

35% side front
20% little side and rear hatch.
ceramic something or other. was next step up from 3M they say.
i put up a bunch to give you idea on sun and angle. I like the interior being protected and some glare cut down. so i went with this combo..
At night it's still pretty dark to see where things are on sides of car or approaching intersections not well lit. keep that in mind.
Super sunny days can almost see through sides but under probably 75% of normal conditions it's dark. good luck.

I had 20% sides & back on my C6 - while I loved it most times, it was too dark at night in areas that didn't have lighting, such as side streets. I had to roll down my windows before turning just to make sure there wasn't a pedestrian.
So for my new car, I went 30% sides and back. I like the looks of the darker but I am a firm believer of function over form since I bought this car to be driven a lot, and not just during the day.
