I feel the same way. I came from a C6 with Flowmasters that sounded terrific. Now, I can barely hear the exhaust unless I get over 3-4k rpms.

Look at your owners manual. It will tell you exactly where the fuse box is in the trunk area. Not the one under the hood. Just find and pull the fuse that controls the muffler flaps and your stereo like tailpipe sound will return.

You must have an auto. My M7 in track mode can raise the dead.

Give the guy a brake. He's probably still anxious over his first dealer Mobile won oil change. Heal get over it.

A good set of ARH mid length headers w/green cats will add to the sound quality. I have had them on the base C7 since early Dec and never thrown a code. I have a set on order for the Z to go along with the aFe CAI that was installed Friday. No tune is required btw.

Funny! Americans are the only ones I notice mis-spelling words. Australians, British, Singaporeans, and Hongkong-ese (sp) don't, from what I've seen.

And felt the EXACT same way when I got my 2016 A8 Z06 2 months ago.

I recommoned and have done the corsa extreme x pipe that deletes the 2 rear cats behind the 02 sensors so you will not throw any codes.

Driving around and at idle it picks up the sound by about 20% and it WOT it really rocks!

Look up forum member and vendor Nor Cal SS he offers this for less than $600 shipped and you can also you tube it to hear what it sounds like online.

Its a good starting point any way cheaper than a $2K+ axle back system where you are getting hit with corvette tax.

I've had musclecars my whole life with and without headers but nothing matches the sound of my Z going through a tunnel or underpass with the top down. It sounds like the end of the world is chasing you I love this freakin car! Pull the fuse baby!

Anybody install an x-pipe? How much of a sound difference is there? Is it worth the cost for how much the difference in sound there is?
