Looking For Z06 Color Input
Last week I put in my order for 2017 Z06 in the following color combo. I'm looking for input / comments on how you think the car will look configured this way. This is my 3rd Corvette, and I always order one of the new colors for what ever model year that I am ordering. I ordered the Black Rose Metallic w/ Kalahari interior, Competition seats, CF ground effects, CF mirrors, CF Jake hood stinger, Chrome wheels w/ yellow calipers.
I guess I'm second guessing what I thought would look good, and need some advice to help me decide if I should make adjustments while the order still sits at 1100.
Thanks in advance for your help.......

Yes, I saw this, just wish it had the chrome wheels so I could get a sense of how they will look. I know there are plenty of people who dislike the chrome wheels, but I think the black & gray will just be too dark........??

WHODAT! From one GNOCC guy to another - should look great. If you like Black Rose, then chromes should work well with it. Will be a throw back nod to the 40th Anniversary C4.

I think it will be stunning. You will stand out in a crowd. I did the same thing on all three of my vettes. My current car is Shark Grey which turned out to be more popular than I expected.
Nice to see another GNOCC member on here.

Since everything on this Z06 will be Black Rose with black vents, mirrors, etc. I would NOT add chrome wheels which will not match.
Black or the gray wheels would be much better...... IMHO.
Cars that have some silver/chrome on them (chrome hardly none) were prominent in the `70s and `80s.
Chrome wheels matched well, but not today.

I'm personally not a fan of CF mirrors as they look like mirror covers to me. Plus since you already have a dark color paint, there won't be much contrast.
Based on the rest of your configuration, i would opt for black calipers over yellow.

About the original question at hand... it's going to look fantastic.

Let's not kid ourselves. It's not black rose...its dark purple...and violet when the sun hits it. If that is your thing, go for it. That said, buy what you like. Resale might suffer down the road.

Let's see... To me, black rose has a little similarity to how I remember Ruby Red back in the day. With chrome wheels instead of dark ones, the contrast in color is similar to how the 40th came with unpainted aluminum wheels. Hence, my statement directed at a fellow New Orleanian, not you. Enjoy your weekend.

I really appreciate everyone's input,..... very interesting to see the differing opinions on how this car may look in the colors I have ordered.
Please keep the comments coming, will definitely help me make a decision on if I need to make any adjustments to the order.
Thanks to my fellow New Orleaneans for their comments, Who Dat !!

If it were me, I'd skip the chrome wheels and go with the spectra grey wheels.

I think the Black Rose is fantastic, and I love chrome wheels too. I have them on my LBR Z06 and think they look great. I know many go for the gray or black wheels, but that's what makes the world go 'round. I really do love my LBR color, especially with the body colored vents and side skirts, but if Black Rose had been available I might well have gotten it instead of LBR. Here's the LBR with chrome wheels to give you some idea. --Bob

I think the chrome wheels or any brighter wheel, look particularly good when matched up with the darker metallic paint colors like LBR. It helps the car pop. I know some prefer the monotone look with black or dark gray wheels, but I like the contrast.

This is what I would get............Spectra Gray wheels.

Congrats!!
The black or grey wheels makes it look more..... Bad A$$. Plus it blends with the overall colors instead of standing out so loud with Chrome. I mean the pics above look outstanding to me. Everyone has their own opinion... likes and dislikes for sure. What ever makes YOU happy when you stare at it. Just my .02.
