I'd say the preference for chrome is more closely tied to demographics than age. Quite a few are 50 or older in my Porsche and Ferrari groups and it's extremely rare to see one on chrome wheels. We also dress completely different and don't bring folding chairs to events, but that's another story...

Well since this thread has been bumped back up, I thought I would share pics of my Arctic White Z06. The center stripe on the C7.R was my inspiration, but I chose paint and not decals. The wheels are Forgeline AR1s in Transparent Smoke finish to match my Shark Gray vents and custom stripe. I have a c7r..... you need a Jake decal on hood....different wheels....suede interior....c7r roof....c7r plaque....embossed c7r on seats...carbon fiber steering wheel dash and console....it's just a cosmetic package but it's a lot of stuff different.....otherwise kinda close......)in seriousness I think white is a great color on this car and yours looks good
