My sincere apologies ... see you at the Zora
I promised myself I wasn't going to cry ...
An opportunity came up to get an incredible deal on a 2016 GT3 RS and I decided to jump on, and as a result the Callaway had to be sacrificed to the trade gods. I loved that car, and I loved my 15 Z06, but the combination of my short attention span and above mentioned opportunity forced my restless hand.
Just like my own relatively dysfunctional home, the CF C7Z forum has been a home to me for the last year and a half, and I am going to miss it. You guys taught me pretty much everything I know about this car, and I hope I was able to give a little of it back in between snarky comments. Seriously, thank you for helping me out, for supporting my build and track efforts, and for everything in general.
I won't post pics of the RS cause it's not a Porsche forum ... but google Lava Orange RS and that's what mine looks like.
My Chevy dealer has me first in line if the Zora ever manifests, so that's likely the next time you will see me actively participate on CF.
Thanks again, and see you on track or on the street.
Serge

Thanks everyone, I sincerely appreciate the kindness.
Oh what the heck, here's a few delivery pics from earlier today:
As far as parts, I should have the LG spindles in about a week, and I have a ZL1 add ons front tow hook eye sitting around ... everything else was part of the sale.

Congratulations! I hear those are amazing cars. Your posts have always been helpful. Keep in touch with this forum. I would love to hear your assessment of both cars after you get some seat time in the new one. I would love to see some pix of it also!

Soul,
Good for you, my friend. It's great to see car guys having fun and enjoying the hobby. You're a good dude, and an asset to the forum, so don't be a stranger. You can swing by anytime you like - you'll always be welcome in here.

Drifting
That's funny. You can't touch 'em for 100K over sticker, used. And people are lining up to buy them. The GT2 RS fetches 500K and more.

Beautiful car. My friend has exact same car and color combo. Not as much torque but a damn fun track car. I'm hopeful for 991 GT2/ GT2RS when/if it comes. I will keep the ZR1 and maybe trade the 991 turbo S Vorsteiner for it.
Car ADD is a problem LOL!

What a beautiful car! Porsche has knocked it out of the park design wise with this newest generation of 911.
Congrats!
