I was at the Cadillac dealership the other day and the salesman showed me the new blue for the ATS-V. Obviously they would call it a different color, but could this be the same color blue to be released on the Corvette?
The Cadillac Opulent Blue is the same color as Admiral Blue. Same GM paint code.
The Chevrolet Build page now includes Admiral Blue as a color choice. I was surprised when I saw it last night... it doesn't actually SHOW the color; the color "swatch" on the page is blank. And when you select it the photos aren't yet programmed to load the color.
But it is an available color for a 2016 order by this page
It's been like that for a few weeks now, I thought they messed up...guess not
if it is in fact the same color as the 96 Grand Sport, Iove it. Without seeing it though it's gonna be tough. Chevy could be just calling it Admiral Blue and it's some new hue.
The color on my 96 Grand Sport was called Cloisonne Blue. Seemed slightly darker than these pics.

Got to see the Admiral Blue 2017 Grand Sport in the Corvette Corral tent at Sebring so thought I would share the color. To my eyes it is much darker than C4 Admiral Blue more C6 Le Mans Blue.

IT looks metallic. Do you remember if it was? I'm 99.9% sure that Admiral blue was not metallic.
I wish we could get a side by side of "new" Admiral blue next to a proper C4. The C4 color is one of my all-time favorites. So far, it appears this new color is Admiral blue in name only and not the same color brought back.
