Default Thinking about trading up to a new Z06

I've decided to sell my supercharged C6 GS here soon to purchase a new C7 GS but am REALLY interested in stretching my budget for a Z06. It's going to be very very tight finance wise (about $80k limit) if I can make it work. I'm interested in a 1LZ with the gray wheels and the Z07 body kit (not the brakes, no other options). Any thoughts on price? I had my last vette shipped from Mike Furman on the east coast to CA and am not above doing the same again, it was a great experience. Any chance there will be incentives that will bring it down to around 80k out the door by the end of the year? I REALLY want a Z06 but may have to settle on a GS if I can't get a screaming deal.

I should also mention I have a gm card with over $3K to help knock the price down a bit.

Look at LesSanford inventory they may have one. Base plus 3000 for big spoiler and skirts. You should be able to do under 80000 easy supplier price Les may sell for that.

Default Close...but no cigar

$80k? Good luck finding a 1LT Z06 WITH the Z07 package ($8k option) and nothing else that a dealer is willing to part with below invoice.

TrueCar.com lists a 2016 1LT Z06 Manual Trans, w/ the Z07 package (and NOTHING else) at $89,220 MSRP & $84,632 Invoice.

With $3k in GM money, in theory you are in the neighborhood, but I think your about $10k away from reality after taxes and doc fees, unless you are planning on putting a chunk down.

I understand that I couldn't get a Z07 equipped car for that price, good thing I don't want one . I'm looking at a 1LZ with gray wheels and the body kit, it's far less expensive than the full on brake kit. I'm hoping for something around invoice and for GM to throw in some sort of incentive, that's how I got my last car so maybe lightning will strike twice!

Good luck with that, because "hoping" may be all your are going to do. I'm not saying you can't find a good deal, but gone are the days of GM throwing out insane incentives on a cars that sell well on their own.

BTW - keep in mind, Z06s are on restriction (as I understand it) to make way for the new GrandSports, so most dealers realize the Z06s they have in stock may be all they see until mid Summer.

What you want is 80k plus 3k for the stage 2. You can get an 83k Z for 77-80k easily. Keep shopping.

MacMalkin was offering 8% off in stock Z06s, plus an additional $1,000 Conquest discount (recently expired, but might be available again next month). So yes, there are good deals available if you do your homework.

Spring Mountain said they offload their Z06/07 for around 79k with between 5 and 10k on the odometer. DC Motors in Ca buys many of them.

Thanks for the info everyone, I'm saving these dealers so I can find the best deal when I'm ready to buy towards the end of the year. MacMulkin has a torch red 1LZ for 76k right now which is pretty close to my budget!

Wait, what? Where did you hear this?
I just ordered one yesterday and none of the 4 forum dealers here, said anything about Z06 on restriction.

Please tell me your mistaken.

They would know better than I would...I had thought I read that on here, but as the old saying goes, "You can't always believe everything you read on the Internet" - Abraham Lincoln

This looks like a severely overpriced car. Full retail used price for a car disqualified from warranty that was used hard for 5000 miles only on a track? I don't care how careful the maintenance was; these cars make rental car purchases sound reasonable. Plenty of better deals then these.

Some people need to stop drinking before posting, for sure read better and do a search before saying anything

With that said...yes, very easy . Look at all the Z06 inventory in the dealer inventory groups here. I went to some of them and many cars have about 10,000 off now and I'm sure you can get a little more off. Tough part will be finding one with the stuff you want I'm sure, not many 1LZ's with just the ground effects package.

Shop around...they are out there.

Sell your current car then take your time looking.

Thanks,

Have you been to Spring Mountain? These cars are driven by girls and old men. They kick *** when an instructor is driving them.

I'm sure they are, but there is no way I would knowingly buy a track car that has been beat on by the public. Would you take a girl home to Mom who openly admits 120 former lovers...sure shes great in bed, but you'll never forget why she's broke in.

What's on the ground come July will be all that's available till 17 production starts in September. I order my 16 la week ago I'm at 2000 already. My dealer is in top 20 for corvette sales he has over a dozen in stock not flying out the door but moving. I could not find one in my area so ordered torch red 2LZ A8 Nav Pdr. All I found had extras or black wheels if wife had not fussed I think I could have had M7.
