I'd give this guy $25K off MSRP. Think even he'll take it on a used car?
$25K
Now, had you said "We've gone from people paying $10K over to people getting 10K off MSRP", I'd be with you. That's a 20K difference. But not from MSRP.
The OP traded a McLaren MP4 for this Corvette. I think he's looking at a 10-15K loss best case on this car. If it's not a financial panic, time to settle down and keep a car for a while I'd say!

Where'd you pull that number out of? This time last year these were still OVER sticker in February, if I remember. Of course everyone had an uncle Bob that could get it cheap, as always. But I mean for real.

If he bought the car here in DFW in July(it is a 16) he paid a lot closer to sticker than today when the lots are full of them. Now on a 109k or so car that someone paid sticker for 25k is about right on a trade in around here. Too many Brand New Ones around that need to be sold...
Maybe where you are the loaded Z06 is not common here they are. You must be one of the ones that paid MSRP and thought resale would not fall this fast. Hell I did and did not care-bought it right and have spent more than 25k in mods so far.lol

Then your lifetime in sales don't matter...You can buy a NEW 2016 Z06 for 10%(from Kerbeck) off plus another $1,000 off if you have a 99 or newer non GM vehicle in your garage.
I can buy a new Z06 in Kansas City for $12,000 off MSRP.
OP's car had a MSRP of $109,435. That means I can buy a duplicate new 2016 with that MSRP for $97,491 from Kerbeck.
Then subtract at least another $5,000 because it's a used 2015 and then subtract another $5,000 for the used car dealer's profit and you are down to $87,491.
That's $21,944 off MSRP, not the $10,000 you posted.
If the OP was to sell it direct, then he might get $90, 000.

Who cares
The percentage of Z06 owners is very small considering how many are produced. If you're lucky enough to be able to own one, enjoy the crap out of it and quit worrying about what it's worth. To me, mine's worth every penny I paid and I plan to drive the crap out of it!

The OPs car is worth 20% to 25% less than MSRP. Prices are down. I turned away from a great 15 3LZ/Z07 that listed for 104.5K that had 12 miles on it. The guy wanted 96K I offered $91K and he wouldn't take it so I bought a brand new 15 mile car just like it with two tops for $90.5K that was at a dealership 160 miles away.
Winter is a bad time to sell a Corvette plus this year the market is flooded with used Zs. GM made the 16 Z06s eligible for the employee discount and there are factory incentives for purchasing a Corvette. Take a look at Autotrader to see how many cars are available across the country. Don't look just in your zip code look up to 500 miles away. Corvette sales are regional/national so buyers will go where they can get the best price while not getting hit with too high of a travel cost. 500 miles is an overnight trip so you are into the trip for about $300 with meals and lodging.

You can get what you want, if you find someone that thinks it's fair, just depends on how much of a hurry you are in, or if you like to play the game.
My offer though, is $20, firm.

It's winter time folks.. Not everyone will qualify for the big discounts. Once spring time hits, sales numbers will pickup. No one is or should be taking a $25k bath, that just sounds goofy. I just got some appraisals for mine and the market is not that bad, it's just winter time.

I think with dealers offering 12k plus off the same model coupled with poor timing, you are in for a tough time. Buyers are savvy and rightly so when spending that kind of money. Most buyers are probably sitting back waiting for GM to release some great incentive like 0 percent or making offers that seem lowball, but in reality are probably realistic all things consider. If I were to make an offer on your car, it would be in the mid 85550-87000 range.

No, I bought mine with the full knowledge that it would speedily depreciate, as did my 2007, and my 1994. Since I keep them about 10 years I do OK.
Divide your total depreciation by the number of years you keep a car. Most people eat a lot on the back end no matter how they crow about driving dealers out of business on the front end.

2017 C7 of the Year Finalist
Well it is only going to get worse.. Last month January 2127 corvettes sold.. Worst month since the C7 was introduced.
Car values will continue to fall and I know there a lot of people that paid MSRP less than a year ago that are choking on their lunch reading this that have taken a 25k hit in less than a year.

They lose money. My car with comp seats @ 81,500 new
Mine has not dropped 20k.
Doesn't drop as fast as the 105,500 car.

I didn't even know this was still a thing. Depreciation. I think the majority of us know at this level of the game, considering production numbers, we know we are going to lose something. Now, the severity of that loss, well, we can never know until that time comes. That's why some of us say, just enjoy the dang car while you are still breathing. I've lost the past 1.5 years, prob a good $50k between my 14 Zl1 and 15 GTR. Honestly, I personally don't care. I look at money as just some physical object that I can go make more of. But anyhow, enjoy your Vette's!! Or any car that you own for that matter.

The dealer will take at least 20% off MSRP and thats only if he thinks he has a buyer that may be interested. Otherwise is will be polished up and sit in the showroom over the winter and he will give you even less. This is not a good time to be selling a high value Corvette.
