Default Painted spats

Hi all,

I am looking for opinions for the spat paint color for my Z07. My car is black with black wheels, no exposed carbon fiber, only carbon flash.

Should I have them painted carbon flash, or black to match the car?

Anyone have painted spats on their black Z? Pics?

Thank in advance!
Andy

I say flash as well. This way it matches the rest of the carbon flash painted parts.

I have the same combo as you, and have thought the same thing, I was thinking of buying another set of spats, and having them painted/cleared by a pro, I've been on record saying that I don't care much for the rear design, and the two tone makes it worse, black does improve the look.

I love the rest of the car except the spats, all they need is paint, please post pictures when you do this.

This isn't my car but my buddy who owns this detailing shop sent me these pix.

Personally I'd go black because of my exposed CF. However carbon flash might be the best bet for you. Not sure.

Best,
Gene

May I ask who's Exposed Carbon Fiber spats did you get? And how pleased are you with the look, match to the factory CF? Picture would be nice too.

I have the Z06/7 exposed CF everywhere except the Spats, which are Carbon Flash stage 3.

Thanks

I believe it was Apsis who made them. They look just like the splitter CF so the match is perfect. www.westcoastcorvettes.com is where I got them. I will get a pic up by this evening.

I painted mine carbon flash to match the rest of the trim. Very easy to do.

In a black car i would paint them black like the bodywork not flash. Not a huge difference but flash will be noticeable next to a black hood and fenders.
