You don't want the PDR? As for the trade in sell your car locally and use the money as a downpayment for the Kerbeck car. If you don't think you can sell it quickly enough then estimate what you can get for it and use that to determine the type of loan you will get. It helps to have some cash on hand or a HELOC that you can use to cover the value of the old car while you wait to sell it.

You have two completely different issues. Go to a local dealer.. many of them will purchase the vehicle outright. If you are worry about getting raped on the value, well that's life in all 50 states.

However, depending on the Mustang that the OP has, the value can vary greatly. I offloaded my 2015 Mustang GT PerfPack+just about every option car that had an MSRP of $44k and the resale market on Mustangs is TERRIBLE. I've traded a lot of cars away after 6-12 months in the past and this one was the biggest hit I have ever seen, and I paid X-Plan at the launch of the car.

Depending on the value, yes... but only if your state operates on taxes that way (mine does not).

I have a 2013 GT500. MSRP was $67485 Really just started thinking of trading so have no idea what a dealer would give me.

When I bought my Cobra new back in '03... I think I paid around $36 or 38k and that was a LOT of money for a Mustang back then. I think the market for really expensive Mustangs these days is in fact pretty thin as it's more of a working man's muscle car. I would say the same for the Camaro. On the flip side, I just got a phenomenal trade in for my '09 CTS-V. Dealer said only a few in a 500 mile radius with a stick so the car was actually pretty rare. Seeing as though they discontinue the stick in the new gen, anyone that wants a 550hp sedan with a stick is looking at the V2s. Good for me lol.
