No, it's real. He parked at his girlfriends apartment and didn't invest in wheel locks... Such a simple deterrent to wheel theft.

Kinda like the ******** plastic wrap on CDs. It's not stopping anyone getting in that wants to, but makes you question if it's worth it lol.

Wheel locks do nothing for thief that wants to take your wheels. Go to any tire shop and they will have an adapter to remove the wheel locks.

Waste of Money.

I live in Northern VA and do not yet own a home with a garage. Call me crazy, but I drive my car 3+ times a week plus tracking it and park it outside. I have a nice cover, but I bought it as a track car that I can drive on the street, so sue me. Love the car, so do the neighbors

That's awesome! Glad its working out for you. Its a shame that we have to worry about this sort of nonsense. Someone stole a bunch of wheels off of cars at my work a few months ago. They caught the guy but it was pretty ridiculous. What is interesting though he was targeting normal base type cars, with newer tires. I imagine that there is a bigger used tire market there.

Waste of Money.
Ran an Acura dealer from 99-03, we started wheel locking every car after losing 2 sets of wheels a weekend... it went to 2/year.

In the case we lost the wheels, they also took the entire interior, et al.

I agree, a pro can get around it, most aren't or it poses too much risk. They add just enough trouble to move one.

Now if you are rocking $7k rims in the back of a dark lot, your problem.

Keep mine outside in the summer, with an outdoor case for when weather gets nasty. On a side note had two hail storms catch me away from home and cover, but no paint damage (granted xpel on everything except roof and back).

Being in NE car is garaged over winter.

Cheers

I park mine on the street in Old Town. . . cringeworthy. Someone already 'bumped' it. Gonna get it fixed and throw some expel on it and call it a day. Every time I quit driving the Z and going back to my DD, I start jonesing hard for the vette.
