Off topic, but reason for wanting to toss aside the M7? Is the A8 that much better?

Auto is a little faster from dig. But reasons are heavy NY traffic and want wifey to have fun. She has no desire to drive or learn how to drive a manual.
I will miss the visceral feeling of driving a manual transmission sports car for sure!!

I did the same thing with my 15. That M7 just won't cut it. I've never been more disappointed in a car in my life. The A8 is an entirely different car. Shoot, heard from a guy that's in the new Camaro team and they have him driving a Z06 right now and he said the same exact thing about the M7 Z's. That ought to make a huge statement to anyone.

I will feed off your thread if you do not mind. I would love to see what the forum dealers are willing to do. I am waiting on the Z to go on friends and family program but I could jump in sooner if deal is right.
I can't wait for PMs.

Try MacMulkin
They are a forum vender who has always been ready to deal on Corvettes
I would expect New Hampshire isn't, too far for you
Ask for Tommy Jr or Mark

Interesting...I had the exact opposite experience. I found the A8 to be 'ok' but not as good as a normal dual clutch box, and the M7 to be much more engaging and overall a great tranny. The clutch was a lil 'light' but the gearbox was super smooth, and the rev matching was brilliant. Granted it was only a test drive...but I liked the M7 so much more, I placed my order for it over the A8 despite the sales manager swearing I'd prefer the A8.

Then again I don't drive in city traffic and it's a weekend car...Seems more and more ppl are going for the A8...that could also be demographic as well. Either, get what makes you happy...

My 2016 Z06 was for invoice.. I'm thinking dealers will want to get rid of them so they don't have to set on them all winter..

Thinking same. I called a forum dealer they were at MSRP only, so I pulled trigger here in state.

I paid sticker for my 16 Z M7 and I couldn't be more satisfied with such an amazing car! I am located an hour from Nashville. Everyone I spoke to in Al, Tn, and Ga quoted me sticker. Not one dealer offered a single penny off sticker, even on a simple cash sale.

I was told $1500 off MSRP. Tried two Dealers on this site both at MSRP, I was surprised.

Had a couple dealers contact me. Offering small discounts 1-2k was best. Fyi dealers said they will deny this if I put this on Forum. Lol!
With a 7500 tax hit (83k trade in value) My 15 Z06 was paid for. I will need something of substance to offset that loss

I'm with you. I wouldn't think about switching to the a8. I'm teaching my wife to drive a manual and with the rev matching I don't think it will be too much of a problem.
