Finished the 500 mile break in yesterday before a run up to State College today, taking a few runs off the main road to get some fun roads in. Spouse says I'm smiling more every day we own the car. Honestly it is amazing. So comfortable for cruising, then get on a fun road, put it on Sport Mode, and it becomes the tautest, best handling car I've driven. We get the 500 mile oil change tomorrow on our way to KY and the NCM. The roads around Bowling Green are going to get a workout. A couple friends have already reserved rides. I have noted in another thread that anyone wanting one of the absolute best performing cars in the world can't go wrong by ordering a Z06 and having it drop shipped to Callaway.

Thanks for the early impressions, Ivan.
I would imagine there is plentiful torque just about everywhere on the tach. Should make for running some nice curvy roads a real joy.

I'm not getting a Callaway Z, but I will be able to report on the short throw shifter. I'm getting it on my SC627. I was considering spending the money elsewhere because I liked the feel of the stock unit, but Callaway Chris convinced me that it was a great addition to the car.

OK - what kind of shenanigans have you been up to lately?

One thing you quickly learn with a Callaway is to allow more time for most every trip. Stops at gas stations, parking lots, wherever, can easily turn into half hour sessions talking about the car. Last night was a good one, a fellow who was staying at the hotel when we were having our car built, caught me in the lot at 9 PM. We talked back then about the 2012 RPO B2K of course and this time he was raving about the Laguna Blue. Nice guy, into cars and bikes. He has had his monster truck and bike in magazine articles. But he was blown away by the Callaway.

Well my Z arrived at Callaway earlier this week.
So, I'm now officially on the clock.
Can't wait to get it back.

Travis, u might be in the best position to describe the difference between stock and Callaway when your car comes back. I can't give a true direct comparison because I am coming from an m7 and going to a8 Callaway. I'm sure more than a few people will be looking forward to your before and after impressions of your zo6
Looking forward to driving mine in the next week or 2, until I get it I'm going

For all who have done the Callaway Conversion congratulations. Chris has done an outstanding job. The looks are outstanding. Was there any additional break in period? Does Callaway make the supercharger?
Does Callaway address the overheating issue at all. I am sure heat soak is a non issue with that supercharger exposed. Enjoy
