Why in the world did Horsepower Kings recycle the 6:59.13 Ring Lap?
http://horsepowerkings.com/hail-to-t...e-nurburgring/ Once again it appears posted July 11th.
Just seeking attention? Just a theory that I have. Let's just say that the Z07 did run a 6:59.13, and the Corvette was the last car to make a record lap before the speed limits, then ban against using times for advertising.
Imagine Nissan, and Lambo, getting whopped, then no way to come back and regain 2nd and 3rd place? (I do not count the Radicals as production cars, since they would not be legal where I live- but that is a separate discussion) Would this cause GM to wait on posting their results?
Anyway, if we are going to spread rumors until GM finally lets the time out of the bag, why not have some fun with the rumor. GM denied this time instantly back in January, and have secretly denied the 7:08 recently.

"This lap time places the new 2015 Corvette Z06 in a new category altogether, and could be compared (statistically) to the Porsche 918, LaFerrari and McLaren P1 – all for a fraction of the price. For reference, the Porsche 918 Spyder has previously recorded a 6:57 lap time, so this new Z06 is certainly in elite and exclusive company."

Until GM releases the official number and vid, everything else is just mental masturbation.

And Milner is the secret hero young guy that ran the hell out of it because he didn't know any better.

Some have reported that the Z06 broke 7:00 before the track issued a ban. GM has provided no proof of any laps that are quicker (or slower), so at this point all we can do is assume 6:59 and wait for the official video.
Since there might be 10 Z06 owners on Earth who will be driving their cars on the Nordschliefe under 8:00, I am not sure there is any harm in just enjoying whatever gets reported.
Lol.

...Or maybe last summer GM ran over 35 full laps at the 'Ring in the C7Z with 6 different drivers, and 30 of those laps were under 7:20, and the 'hot' lap was a "tick under 7 minutes".
But hell, what would I know.
