Just traded my AO C6Z for a C7Z. Only drove it 20 miles home so didn't spent a ton of time driving it but I'm blown away. Bought it off the showroom floor. Z07 3lz comp seats w/suede inserts. Black on black with exposed carbon ground effects. I was having 2nd thoughts as I was driving my c6 to trade it in. As soon as I pulled into the dealership it was out front and still can't get over how beautiful it is. The comp seats w/suede inserts are amazing. Interior is such an upgrade. When I got home I got out of the car and laughed for 5 minutes at how awesome this car is. I'm 43 and have a very stressful job that i work a lot of hours at. Not very often I feel this excited and feel like I'm a kid again. Today was one of those times and it was great. I am so grateful to have to be able to experience this.

Congrats on the new Z !! I traded in my C6 Z06 for my new 2015 Z06 and yes they are a new breed of Corvette. I never knew how much of a dinosaur my C6Z was until I got my new one. Congrats again and enjoy your new ride !!

Only thing you're going to miss is the color. AO was an amazing color, black is too..just needs a LOT of care. :P

Atomic orange was/is one of my favorite colors and painted an 02 camaro and two-toned my 07 truck with that color. I also think black is the sexiest color made...for 5 minutes anyway until it gets dirty. I've had 3 black vehicles and currently driving a two-toned black and green Tacoma.

I also thought the C6 Z06 was great, but sitting next to a C7 Z it really looks dated.

42 here.
Work an S ton of hours.
Traded an white 2012 Z06 that I loved.
Had the same thoughts driving to the dealer in the C6Z (traded mine in Sept so even worse because I didnt know when my new Z would be built).
Jaw hit the floor first time I saw my new car.
I think how lucky I am to own such an amazing machine every time I look at it or drive it.
I still love C6Z's and respect the awesome car that it still is... but it feels like you are sitting in a rental car compared to the C7Z.

I really needed this thread, been reading all the sky is falling crap for months.
My car is finally off the friggin train, and due in the first of next week.
I'm keeping my black highly modded 08 Z, I'll probably be buried in it, but thanks guys for the upbeat attitude.
New one is shark grey 2lz, comp seats, black with cf bits interior.
Aftermarket stage 3 VCF aero.

I also went from a 2008, Z06 to a AW, A8, Z06/Z07. What a difference and I wouldn't go back.. I am not concerned with all of the bad press. I will not track or mod the car except for maybe a Halltech CAI. That is what the warranty is for. Let GM worry about it. The car is a blast to drive and it gets a ton of attention. Biggest bang for the buck in my mind.

Just sold my 07 Z06 a couple of weeks ago in preparation for the new Z06. Bittersweet feelings I can certainly relate to.

My SGM, 2LZ car won't be here for at least another 9 weeks.

AO is so nice! Look at the picture with you in a seating position, can't see the details in black..........as for the maintenance, no thanks.

Same boat here. I sold my 08C6Z last week. My 16Z06 was made last week. It's going to be a long month+ wait.

Same here. I just ordered a 2016 white Z06 last night. I'm trading my 2013 supercharged Z06. I talked the dealer into letting me drive my 2013 Z for a few more weeks before I have to give it to them to sell. I'm 44 and own 2 used car lots that I do bad credit financing and deal with some very special people daily. When I look out and see my Vette it makes it all worth it..

i loved the AO but after driving this thing it would have sat in the garage.it was fairly dark when we took that last one. black was not on my radar because i was not impressed with it in pictures. this was the first one i saw in person and it is stunning. i know the black is tough to keep clean but this is a toy not my dd.

From Pembroke, MA----I am in Needham, MA. Did I see your atomic orange Z06 at the Bass Pro show last week? There was one there.

I took a similar path as you-----I traded in my 2008 atomic orange Z06 (loved that car--just loved it) for a 2013 427, which this past April I traded in for a Z06. About 1,400 miles on it, and just loving it. I like the new Z06 much more than the 2008------WOW the power in 3rd and 4th sometimes is just amazing on the highway.

I'll keep my eyes out for a black Z06 on 128, route 3, etc.
