Default Has filling

I have same issue in both z06 and new Silverado in gas stations with faster pumps , especially if very low on fuel. Spoke to my local dealer ( horrible service ) and they said yep just like heated seats that don't really work at all in either vehicles " that's the way the 2015's are ".

This...it is not just vettes. many of my cars have done this from time to time. But this works all the time.

In my car I have to insert the handle all the way in and then I just click it open on the lowest speed. Always fills to the maximum and I never try to top it off. My '14 Jeep GC has the same type of cap less design and if I only partially insert the pump handle it will constantly click off early.

Mine did it once was hard to fill at a pump with the vapor recovery on the nozzle.
I avoid those now.

It is definitely worse when I have run the fuel very low, but it happens at different stations/pumps for me. It drives me nuts to stand there holding the handle!

Recommendation

For those having this issue - before hauling the car in for service, or trying the 'hold-the-pump-upside-down' trick, try the following:

Put the nozzle all the way in as you normally would, and then press gently downward on the handle of the nozzle as you hold while fueling.

I have found that holding the nozzle as far downward as possible (i.e. level with the ground) does the trick at every station I used to have trouble at. I think this accomplishes nearly the same thing as holding the nozzle upside down (i.e. that the tip of the hose inside is raised a bit), but it's easier to do.

Mine does it too. I'm in NJ so no filling yourself A couple times I drove away from the station to find my tank was only filled half way.

Received a recall notice last week concerning something about the gas filler. I misplaced it so I called my dealer and he said there is nothing in the computer for my car.

C7 4 me - This trick definitely works... but I would rather clean the windshield and check the car over while the pump is filling and despise standing there holding it. If you pull it out an inch, it prevents it from clicking off at MOST pumps.
