Default Exhaust rumble

I have an automatic '14 stingray and I just tested a Z06 m7. On the A6 when I downshift with the paddles, I can get the exhaust to rumble as the RPMs drop down below 3k or so. I did not hear this sound on the z06. Not sure if it was because it's a different model, or if maybe I was just driving too conservatively. Anyone have any comments about this? The exhaust sounded great, but I would miss the rumble if I traded up. The f type jaguar is in the running for just this reason.

You can set the level of rumble in the driver mode. It varies from stealth at all rpm's to rumble at higher rpm's only to full-time rumble on TRACK mode.

In my opinion there is little to no rumble on decel. On my C-6 427 Vert, with mild to wild set to open ... that was RUMBLE! I think it may be due to the supercharger. The C-7 Z-06 has a much more aggressive/raspy tone on acceleration, but it lacks the rumble on decel.
I can live with it!

Do you know if this is something that can be set on the C7 stingray?

With the M7 with Rev Match on you get all kinds of "raspy"

The C7 M7 does BARK with the rev match, it sounds great!
The C6 Z06 does have an awesome sound between shifts and on deceleration. The C7 Z06 has better sound insulation there is NO drone.

I'm between upgrading to a Z06 and trading for a jag f type. The exhaust is the only thing that I think the jag has over the z06. Maybe the interior. But the rumble on the f type is amazing and I was hoping the z06 would measure up. That would make the decision easy.

I'm also curious if anyone has experience with the a8 on both cars. Does the z06 shift as fast?

Both LT engines won't give that burble and pop that the LS engines did. I think it has more to do with cylinder head design than induction. I really do miss that. My 11 GS with Eforce and headers and hi flo cats really sounded good. And I used to get compliments on it all the time.

The exhaust on acceleration is way better, louder, nastier in the Z06. But if you plan to do mostly decelerating, go with the Jag. If you think you might do some accelerating, go with the Z06.

funny...but I agree. The exhaust is louder on the z06 and it clearly would outperform the Jag as well.
