11.3 drag time tonight A8
I took my car to the local track tonight. 11.3 at 126 mph. Stage 3 aero. A8. I was just in track mode with all traction on. Launched at 1500 rpm in D. I know there is a lot more in it. Any pointers?

What was your 60' time and your Density Altitude? Can find your DA here, pick your track and use the data closest to the actual date/time you ran the pass on.

In addition to what was your 60 foot time I'm assuming you were spinning the stock tires on your launch?
If yes, next time when you launch don't bring up your rpms at all and see if that improves you and lower your tire pressure down to 30, 28 and 26 lbs. also try launching at 1000, 1,200 rpms and play around with rpm launch and tire pressure to see what minimizes your spinning the tires and yields you your best 60 foot time so you can get that 10.9x time slip!

Traction OFF, Track or Sport mode is fine. Power brake to ~ 1800 RPM or just hitting 0 psi boost in D. Floor throttle, both hands on wheel for 0 degrees on steering angle at launch. Hold on and enjoy the ride. Keep stock tires around 25 psi to avoid a limp mode activation.

Here's a new AMG GT S at a drag strip with similar (slightly better) results. I should think the Z06 would be under 11 seconds.

Back to the OP, not bad at all considering that you left Traction Control ON. Those nannies definitely slowed you down a little

I really want to break into the 10's. I have a halltech intake and a AFE intake that'll be here soon. Is my mph low for my car? I am stage 3 aero. I had my middle wing all the way up.

Turn off all traction nannies & remove that middle wing as it is not meant for drag racing. Practice your launches & you should get there
Your mph is a bit on the low side, but without knowing track elevation & weather conditions we can't really conclude anything

How was track prep? Was there a headwind?

60ft is really big factor in your 1/4 mile time .
Another trick is to run less fuel 1/4 versus full tank might drop a tenth.
Weight of driver also matters. A 250 pound driver is like a tenth slower than a 150 pound driver.
Sure once you put intake on there and get the launch right you will be seeing 10s.

There was a pretty good head wind, the track prep is pretty bad. Everyone usually says that if your to Woodburn drag strip about 35 miles away you usually 2 tenths faster. I want to run my car there again and see if I can try any differences.

My 11.3 run the car was shifting at 6000rpm every shift too. I was doing good long burn outs to get the tires nice and warm. Was doing a 1st to second gear burn out.

This is a group I race with, they're having a race on the 23rd. Fun group to hang with too.
