Drag race (single event) insurance
Hey guys, do any of you have 'per event' drag racing insurance? If so, which company and how much (approx) does it cost. I already have a quote from Hartland, but they wanted $1800 for the season. I will probably only race 2 or 3 times after my new Z06 arrives at the end of June and I break it in. Any suggestions. Thanks!

I'd skip it. Drag racing is likely safer than driving to the track.
As long as you don't turn off active handling, it would be difficult for the car to get out of control. The bigger risk could be the car in the other lane. As long as you don't line up next to anything "radical" you should be fine. If you're only doing testing and not competing you can determine what you line up next to in most cases.

One random tip to add to Todd's comment: when the 10-second primer Nova lines up in the next lane, let him go. Give him a 5 second head start. Your ET doesn't change, after all (though you'd lose a heads-up race if that's what you're doing).
That way, when it gets sideways you won't be between it and the wall.
