I can't put in words what a cr*py, sh*ty, thing Chevy did just for marketing a few cars to waxers that will never see the track.
The Corvette engineering development team gave in to the GM money guys and didn't put an adequate cooling system in the C7Z. Disgusting they slap on some stickers add a bit of weight and call it a C7.R. What a load of marketing cr*p.
Right up there with "Track capable" unless you happen to be a decent driver running hard for over 3 laps on an 85* day.
To use the R moniker they should develop a huge radiator, actual brake ducts, World Challenge type hood and lose about 300+ pounds. A wing option would be nice, as well as a splitter with extended full tray.
An R badged car should be able to run fast HPDE and TT laps in Florida, Texas, Louisiana, California ext. in the summer on slicks with an aggressive driver and keep its cool. Does not need more HP but it needs endurance as its an endurance moniker.
