OMG! A Z06 without a front splitter.

Scraping the splitter.
The reason the Comps would have been better is that they have more bolstering for road course use and the harness pass throughs are much more properly situated for installation of harnesses and a harness bar. I can't install harnesses with the stock GT seats. The openings are way too low.

The GT seats are on par with the seats in my 911 Turbo and better than the base GT-R seats. The GT-R Black Edition Recaros are, however, pretty nice but IMO the C7 Comp seat is equal to it.

S.,
I've seen some posts from guys wanting to sell/swap comp seats. You may be able to pick up a pair fairly reasonably.
I've got the comp seats in mine, and love them. Found them comfortable on 800 mile drive from the Museum as well (altho I'm not a big dude).

Due to driveway clearance the stage 1 splitter had to go but I did add some aftermarket side skirts which I hope to take a pic of soon showing both areas at one time.
After some serious evaluation, I have come to like the look & clearance. In fact I really think removing the splitter cleaned the car's look up some (less cluttered) and with it's Z06 grill & side shirts it's got an overall cleaner, learner, meaner and more muscular look in my UN-humble opinion.
PS: No double row of shark teeth or steps here!

I actually had a crew come jack hammer out the first 20 feet of my driveway when I had my ZR on order, so that I could take the drive straight on with clearance.
There wasn't a crack or nick in that 20 feet of concrete that was getting ripped out. Misses comes along as its getting ripped up and asks, "What's wrong the driveway. . . . ?"
Guess I forgot to mention my plan to her. . .
In any event, a few bucks very well spent. Glad I did it.

Based on my experience with the car at Daytona, it looks like it'll start to move more toward track duty. With the speeds these cars are capable of I need to start looking for a harness/bar setup if that's the case.

I added the stage 1 Z06 splitter to my Stingray. The front end just looks like it is missing something without the splitter....
Stage 1 has 6 inches of clearance which is plenty for the street.
The original photos of the Z06 without the splitter are not worth much since where the splitter would be is in the dark..

My plan was to lower it and take of the level 3 front splitter. Now that I have the car it clears almost anything with level 3 and lowered all the way except... my driveway.
However, no way in hell would I get rid of my level 3 splitter. I can just raise the car back up to stock height. It cleared my driveway no problem as it was out of the factory.

3 Z06ZR1,
Are those the ACS Zero 7 "satin" finish side skirts? .... I like them!
They almost match the front splitter.

Overcast so I decided to wash the car and took some more pics. Pics would of been better if the sun was shinning.
What the side skirt finish looks like when you paint the skirts with a (12 oz.) spray can of carbon flash metallic, than add some spray can clear and finish using only your hands. Compare it to the lower door surface paint finish. Not bad.
The skirt paint matches the front fender & rear brake vents fine.
You can see the C7 front splash guard as also in the pic above too.
PS: 1400 miles so far and "NO" side paint chips yet.

Sorry to be lame, but whose skirts are they? They're great; and I agree with the splitter removal, I too live in a curbed world, but the rockers a must.
I also see you have the splash guards, look great!

Acs brand for the Z06. Part# 45-4-029. If I had to do it again "I" would pay to have them painted.
See this thread for just a little more info on how I painted/finished the side shirts. Post# 18
