The sound with the headers and X pipe make it worth it alone. Look for the early posts by vengeance racing. That was some of the first mods they did. Tune, CAI, headers and x-pipe.

Yes I saw the thread but they said that the major gains came from the intake and tune, 10 to 15 whp from the H & P only

And IMHO it's not worth it just for the "sounds"

The headers did not show a huge gain with just the upper & lower pulley, as the OEM manifolds are a very nice piece. However with larger camshafts, higher flowing cylinder heads, or nitrous like our car is equipped with the headers should show an even larger gain vs. a similar car on OEM manifolds.

Headers will also drop boost level by a pound or so, which is a good thing.

Hey Andrew,
I'm actually picking up my Z06 on Saturday from a dealer in Rhode Island. I'm planning on some definite mods for sure. My 2013 GT500 made 830rwhp and 845tq @ 19lbs of boost. Looking forward to my new ride, I will post my upcoming mods as I go.

Great. Definitely sounds like you have the need for speed!
Who does/plan to have do work on car. Used Vett Dr. In past on my otherZ's just curious as to who you use!

I'm not too familiar with vettes, but I've heard of Vette Dr, and there's also JTM Motorsports in Deer Park next to American Racing Headers. I'm open for any other decent shops you may have in mind. Are you going to any local meets when the weather breaks?

Cool, I'm scheduled to get Sun Tek and Ceramic Lite on 4/8 by 631 Detail in Deer Park, they're also tinting the windows, installing stinger stripe and wrapping my roof in carbon metallic to match the carbon flash painted on the car. Then I'm game as well.

Yes, if I decide to put a cam in the future for sure it will be with headers

The local shop I frequent (also a forum vendor here) saw their shop car with 150 miles on it go from 575rwhp (cool engine, so no timing pull) to 615rwhp with headers and a tune. 40rwhp from just those two mods is impressive. I drove the car in question and it runs great.

Yes but 30whp of those came from the tune

If you don't want the expense just do a CAI.

I dyno'd mine at 607hp with the new AFE intake only, cant wait to put a tune on it.

I was thinking of headers also, but the issue with the cats holding up on a boosted car have scared me away....plus it sounds like 15hp isn't worth it unless I do more mod's
